So 11 weeks ago I took the plunge and started Mounjaro after years of H1abC1 abnormal results, PCOS and continued weight gain even with low carb.
Its been life changing. I'm no longer thinking about where my next meal stop/snack stop is going to be, not obsessing over whether portion sizes will be big enough and whether to order something in secret before going home to my family. For years I've suffered with a lack of control and binge eating (emotionally but also just a daily occurrence out of habit/wanting control) and I was so miserable. I didn't feel like myself at all, after piling on 3-4 stone since a close death last year.
I'm now 32lbs down in 11 weeks, and can fit back into my old clothes. I have a long way to go, but the emotions I've felt the last 2 weeks have been strong. I really had lost myself.
I had low expectations and thought I'd just poop myself all the time 🙊but luckily no negative side effects at all other than Nausea for 2 days so far.
The biggest tip I'd give is to make sure fibre is up, but that's easy with lots of veg and the odd Fibre one bar/protein bar with fibre in it.
Anyone have any tips for anyone else considering starting? or what made you take the leap? Anyone know of any chat groups etc to discuss food ideas and other tips?
I'm starting my first exercise class tonight now that I'm a bit lighter and finding moving easier and im really excited to do something for myself
PS I have a discount code for Med express and Curate, that gives at least £40 off, taking the first month to around £110. if anyone wants it let me know!
