Anyone want to join for accountability?

I’ve got to the point where I HAVE to lose weight for my health (I’m embarrassed to admit). I’ve been up and down for so long and then a couple of years of going up, up and up, until I’m at the point where I’m 16st7, with high cholesterol and in the pre-high range for blood pressure. There’s no room for cheat days any more!

I struggle because I have no accountability, so thought perhaps others in my position can come and join me - my aim is to lose at least 2 stone by the end of the year.

Current weight: 16st 7lbs

I'll join you ... I too am worried about my health. Not had anything diagnosed as never go to doctors but did a BP check in boots and it was right on the cusp.

I started two weeks ago - lost 4lb in week one and weigh day tomorrow.

SW: 13st 7lb
CW: 13st 3lb

I've cut out all the rubbish although did have a little chocolate last night but within my calories (using Nutracheck). Eating loads of fruit and veg and drinking plenty of water which is a definite first for me! Definitely feeling better already - less sluggish, more energy and actually excited about the journey at the moment...let's hope it continues!

@Boicsgoog ahh, well done!

You’re doing so well already - I’m hoping I have your will power!

Thank you!
Haha well I hope my will power continues. We can encourage each other and hopefully make good progress together. There's 13 weeks until Xmas - I'd like to get to 12st 2lb by then.

Can I join ?
I need to up my exercise by actually doing some at all.
My meals are healthy and made from scratch which is a positive.
However my snacks are not and I am definitely in too much of a habit of a glass of booze.or two.

I find it so hard to do any exercise! I’ve woken up early to go for a walk and I’m telling myself it’s far too dark to go out there (excuses kicking in already).

As long as I eat healthily today, then I’ve made a massive improvement. Going to just try and count the wins.

Morning, I needed to see this post this morning! Very much in need of shifting some weight - I'll join you all for some accountability. Haven't weighed myself in a while so will do so this morning.. I'll be back to report my stats shortly.

Absolutely, the more the merrier!

I weighed in this morning and I only lost a pound. Bit disappointed but hopefully will catch up next week. 5 lost in total now.

SW: 13st 7
CW: 13st 2
Goal: get into the 12's by next weigh in

Didn't have time to make lunch today so I'm pretty hungry now.

Breakfast:
Banana
Fat free yoghurt & blueberries

Lunch:
Melon, strawberries & grapes

Snack:
Lotus Biscoff biscuit

Dinner:
Huge jacket potato with baked beans and low fat cheese and salad.

Nutracheck gives me 1200 calories a day. I've weighed everything out today and will have enough calories for a fruit pastel ice lolly this eve ... new discovery and they're less than 50 calories!

There’s a lovely thread in weightloss called lose 4 pounds in September or something. Really kind , non judgmental posters.
Most of us want to lose more than 4 lb but it’s more achievable to break it down.

Thank you SO much for sharing what you’ve eaten! I’m always stuck on what things to eat - oh, and congrats on the loss!

welcome @rockingbird

How's everyone doing so far this week?

I've been doing ok but have had cake today ... felt a bit guilty but it is the first dessert/cake type treat I've had in almost 3 weeks whereas before I'd have probably had cake or something similar daily so still progress.

Had unusually yoghurt and banana for breakfast and made carrot and coriander soup last night for lunch at work. Bit bland ... think it needs a good dash of salt and probably some cream 😂 Also had grapes and kiwi.

Dinner tonight - daughter is cooking one of our old hello fresh recipes - pronto bacon linguine although I'm having mine without the bacon. I've worked it out to be 399 calories. Might be able to squeeze a tiny bit of garlic bread out of the rest of my daily allowance.

Hope you're all having a good day!
