Is anyone starting next week? Wondering if there would be interest in having a board to keep each other accountable and to encourage each other

Is that the Irish guy? I know people who have lost weight doing this.

Brandnewshorts · 22/09/2024 13:34

I am! 👋
I want to lose 2 stone. I don’t know if I can lose it all but I’m damn well going to try!

Happymama24 · 23/09/2024 10:42

@another79 yes that's him.
He is starting another course on Wednesday

@Brandnewshorts hi 👋
Is this your first time. I did the last round in April and lost 25lbs and there was definitely stuff I could have done better. I found myself getting lazy towards the end. Summer holidays didn't help.
I have mostly managed to keep off the weight. I'm really looking forward to starting again

Well done for maintaining your loss, that’s fantastic! I did it in January, I lost over a stone but I put it back on again 🫣 Mistakes I made:

  • Not walking every day
  • Skipping meals to make up for not walking
  • Weighing myself every day and getting a bit obsessive.
  • Going back to my old habits at the end of the course (because I was starving 😅).

So, I’m back and this time:

  • I am going to do the walk every single day!
  • I am going to weigh once a week only.
  • I am going to eat at every meal.
  • I am going to skip the grapefruit challenge, think slow train will work better for me and help me to maintain.

I have a slight feeling of dread for Wednesday, but I know that’s because I didn’t do it properly last time and it wasn’t a very fun experience. As Ger says, if I just follow the guidance it will release me from all the mental difficulty that comes with bending the rules! So that is what I intend to do!

@Brandnewshorts it's so difficult to keep the weight off. I feel like my body is constantly fighting me to go to a higher weight.
I love the walking but wasn't as consistent over the summer as I was while on Bodyslims.

@Brandnewshorts I'm wondering will they lower the calorie allowance because this is the second round

They might do, but probably more because you’re a lower weight rather than just because it’s round two? Are you in the facebook group? If you search I think there’s info there about where the calorie allowance boundaries are. It’s different for men and women too, I think.

Just found this thread, I started for the first time on the 25th Sept. I"m doing good so far, have lost 12lb so far. Finding it a struggle to fit in the time for the seminars and have to split it over 2 walks, have kids, 2 with special needs, and working full time,

Brandnewshorts · 16/11/2024 16:23

How’s everyone getting on? I’m down 16lb which I’m very happy about, hoping to lose a total of 21lb by the end of the course.
