Postpartum Weight Loss Accountability

Puffinlamb23 · 19/09/2024 21:47

Would anyone like to join me on a postpartum weight loss accountability thread where we post weekly updates?

It's a bit of a stretch for me to say in postpartum as my baby is now one years old, but I still haven't shifted any pregnancy weight and I'm feeling rather ashamed of myself.

SW: 76.7kg and 5ft7
BMI: 26.5
GW: 67kg

My babies 1 weighed myself beginning of August 5”2 10 stone 13 yelppppp went on mfp for accountability down to 10’2! 9 pounds off my goal yesssss!!! feeling much better it’s very hard being short as the calorie deficit is really tight however when I reach my goal il be able to consume 2000 a day to maintain that’s what’s literally keeping me focused!

Have you got mfp?! I have had days where I’m like I can’t fucking do this lol! But I’ve got a friend who’s 5”1 and she reminded me yes it’s very hard to lose being a short girl however losing even 1 stone looks like we’ve lost x3 😂!

More than happy to give you a list of my essentials for my calorie deficit!

@Babsexxx well done on the weight loss so far this month. That's amazing progress!!

Yes, I'm using Myfitnesspal and I've managed to be fairly good this week with eating and exercising.

I'd love to know what are your go to food for your deficit? I'm trying to eat a very high protein diet and it becomes a bit repetitive.

Weight loss update.

SW: 76.7kg
CW:75.3kg

I'm quite happy with this eight days in. I hope to lose 0.5kg a week, and I know you usually lose a lot of water weight in the first week.

Feels a bit sad to update by myself, but I set this up to keep myself accountable so I'm going to do it anyway.

CW: 73.6kg

I'm quite happy with my progress just over 3kg in four weeks, 6.5kg to go. I imagine the weight loss will slow down a bit, but I'm hoping to reach my goal by late January or early February next year.

Just saw your thread now. My DD is 2.5y and I have been going to the gym for a year now plus yoga/pilates and eating but for some reason my body is stuck and I haven't managed to loose that much. What kind of exercise have you been doing?

Puffinlamb23 · 18/10/2024 14:06

@Olika I've been mostly doing spin three times a week, weights once or twice a week at home and occasionally in the gym, and one pilates class a week. I do think that the main thing leading to my weight loss so far is my diet though. I used to exercise a lot more pre baby and it never impacted my weight much, it's always been my diet.
