Help me manage my boredom eating?

I'm a serial boredom eater. I'm very bad for it and always have been.

I recently started back at work from maternity leave and I've been losing weight as I mostly have coffees and fruit. I'm not working full time though so on the other 4 days I'm eating badly.

I don't feel hungry or crave food on these days. I've always had one proper meal a day before having kids.

In the past I would chew a lot of gum but with the kids I don't like to as my toddler asks for it. I would also make lots of herbal teas in the past but I find harder to do at home now.

Any other tips or ideas?

I don't have high calorie snack food I like in the house. Tend to have fruit, rice cakes and crackers.
I brush my teeth/have a swig of mouthwash.
Have a drink of water or tea to fill me up.
Meal plan and count calories (I'm nolonger trying to loose weight just maintain) to make me aware of what I'm eating.
I intermittently fast as I've found once I start eating I mindlessly eat more during the day.
Tend to stick to strict eating times as the routine helped me when I was dieting, so I've continued it.
Have days where I relax a bit about what I'm eating in order not to feel deprived.
Don't eat off the kids plate.
Make extra portions of tea and have some for lunch.

I'm bad for it too. I do quite a few of the things in PPs response. They really do help. Also, try to stay busy! Out of the house if at all possible or engaged in absorbing tasks.

Try mini Fasts like 6 hours no snacks, treats. It will help or 1st try to limit boredom eating like 1 snack/ treat with a hot drink. It will stop cravings. Black coffee and green tea always work for me

I track everything I eat on an app. You can make sure you don't go over your calorie intake. It's also good for helping you realise how much calories there are in things. I was putting dried banana on my oats but they actually have quite a lot of sugar which I didn't realise, so cut them down
