Please could somebody who is using the Mounjaro pen help me! My first pen has arrived today and I planned to do my first injection tonight but have got stuck on the first step! 🫣
It says to remove the top of the pen and check that the medication inside the 'window' is colourless - I'm trying to do this but can't see anything! I've taken the top off, am I to presume that the whole of the see through bit is what they mean by the window? It doesn't look like there is any fluid inside? When I turn the pen nothing moves inside at all as you would expect fluid to - is this because it's so full you can't see it or do I have a faulty pen that's actually empty?!
Please can somebody tell me what it's supposed to look like thanks! I've attached a photo which shows the clear bit I mean - are you supposed to see fluid moving around inside?
Thank you 🙏

Put the needle tip on first, click it round till you see number 1 and then inject- it doesn’t move till you inject. I felt exactly the same and found a few videos on YouTube that helped. Good luck

Hope you sorted it? Your pen looks perfect 😁

That’s how it is supposed to look. Liquid is clear not cloudy.

@IReallyNeedThisToWork thank you! No, it's still in the fridge, I'm too scared to use it for the first time in case it kills me or something 😅 🤦‍♀️

As others have said your pen looks correct. It's full of a clear liquid so you can't see it move.
I'm sure most of us felt scared before doing the first jab, I know I was. But honestly you won't feel it, and there are plenty of us here doing really well on it.
Just read the instructions thoroughly and follow each step as you do it and it'll all be okay.

It looks fine to me. If you continue with the instructions, the next steps are to put a disposable needle on the pen. Then you "prime" the needle, which involves doing a small press of the pen plunger to squeeze a tiny amount of liquid out. That's to check that the needle is ok and that the pen works. So you can't really go wrong with that. If you don't get any liquid out at all then you can try another disposable needle. If it still doesn't work then you may have a faulty pen and then you should contact your prescriber for a replacement.
