Anyone calorie counting and breastfeeding?

Morning everyone,

Is anyone calorie counting and breastfeeding? If so, how many calories do you add on for breastfeeding and how old is your lo?

DS2 is 18 months and still feeds a lot when we're at home (but hardly at all if we're out and about). I always added 500 calories on but the weight wasn't going anywhere anymore so reduced them to 250 and I found myself hungry every evening.

Just wondering what everyone else does
Thanks

For me, dieting didn't work whilst I was breastfeeding. The weight just clung on what ever I did. But as soon as I fully weaned off the breast a lot of my excess weight just fell off with no effort at all. And then dieting was much more effective!

Thank you for this. Gives me hope.
I've been thinking this might be what's going on with me. I lost a stone (but I still have a long way to go) and then it just stalled and I can't seem to move any more at all. It's frustrating when I'm still so overweight and uncomfortable!
