Weight loss during pregnancy - is it possible?

So I have 2 beautiful children and now weight 10kg over what I am supposed to be weighing.

I'm now expecting my third but prior to this pregnancy I was trying shift my weight. Now that I'm 11 weeks along I feel disgusting. I feel fat because of how bloated I am all the time. I just feel like I'm putting on weight already.

My question is it possible to safely lose the fat whilst being pregnant? This is not to lose unnecessary weight, this is for me to feel better and more confident with myself.

You shouldn't really be restrictive during pregnancy but people who are already significantly overweight sometimes lose weight just passively through healthy lifestyle change. I started my pregnancy with a BMI of 34 and lost 25kg from my starting weight within a few weeks of birth but had a very sick pregnancy! Healthy baby at the end though. Hope your pregnancy goes well

Speak to your midwife. It depends on your starting weight and bmi.
