Anyone starting Fast 800 or similar?

I'm starting Fast 800 tomorrow, hoping to lose weight gained over the last year or so. Any advice or company would be great if you're doing the same or have any recommendations.

I've worked out a meal plan for the coming week, and bought myself some posh teas as a treat for the times in the day that I tend to snack on unhealthy food.

I'm not sure whether to measure weight loss or rely on the dress test - I have a lovely evening dress that I'd like to be able to wear for a family event in October.

Hi I’ll join you! I started Fast 800 a fortnight ago, intending to do it for two weeks. Lost 5lbs the first week then got distracted/derailed by work/kids/life.

I’m still 5lbs lighter than when I started so that’s positive.

That's encouraging @Sutra ! I'm a shocker for starting with high hopes then getting distracted or despondent. Hoping to stick with this during August at least and see how things go.

How is it going? I made a 2 week plan a week ago so I am half way through. Lost 4.5 pounds which is great as I had not managed to shift anything previous 2 years! Wine is my weakness so hoping Monday morning I won't find I've put it all back on again. Weirdly it's costing me more to eat less. Family meals can be tricky. It really works best if I plan and cook. Dh volunteered to cook today and it's spaghetti carbonara. Diet death!

I'm with you @Acinonyx2 - planning meals has been really helpful. I'm trying to avoid making different meals for me but I'm filling more of my plate with vegetables, salad etc. The hot weather has been a bit of an appetite suppressant as well.

I'll weigh myself tomorrow I think. There's no obvious physical change (a week isn't going to shift a dress size!) but I'm persuading myself that feeling a bit better for having eaten less sugar, fat etc.

I did it for 12 weeks at the beginning of the year, lost 24lbs. Have carried on in a calorie deficit and lost another 14lbs since then. It's a great kick starter

And congratulations on your 4.5lb in the first week @Acinonyx2 !

Stalled a bit over the weekend but not put anything back on at least. See if we can crack on this week. @afrikat that's amazing!

Great to see some good news. I think I've lost two pounds - our bathroom scales are a bit wobbly but I'll accept good news from them!
I found the first weekend hard. DH and DS go running and cycling and seem to be eating all the time!
