EC Method 5 for 5 accountability thread

Starting an accountability thread as I’ve signed up for the EC Method 5 for 5, and am really hoping it will remotivate me! I lost weight early last year, then hit a plateau. I was maintaining but recently the lbs have started to sneak back on, mainly due to recent lifestyle changes.

I’ve started a course, alongside full time work, so have less time to exercise and the change in routine is tiring, which is a massive snack trigger for me 😩… My course is for a few years so need to make some changes to stay healthy.

This is only for five days (starting tomorrow) so it’s a chance to to find out if coaching could be sustainable for me alongside working, studying, single parenting.

Side note: I sometimes take on too much 😅

I think it’s a good way to trial the full program without committing fully. Not sure if it’s definitely for me but the community seems very supportive and Emma and Chloe seem knowledgeable ☺️

I wanted to try it before signing up to the full programme - so far it seems good, it's definitely motivated me so that's something! I'd like more food help I think but it's so individual I get it's hard to do that without being so generic as to not be helpful anyway !

Day 1 check in 🙌

Overall feeling is positive and am feeling motivated.

Morning routine - messed this up slightly as automatically did my normal planks and wall squats instead of the suggested routine. Will set an alarm for tomorrow to remind me to do the right ones.

Food - followed the advice about snacking and this worked for me today, simple but worked!

Exercise - currently at just under 6k. Had two short walks today but it’s sooo hot. Normally run but I find it hard to maintain steps in summer weather 😅
Did workout 1 with dumbbells at home, found this straightforward to follow but time is the issue, was doing reps whilst cooking dinner.

I’m still unsure about committing to the full program but had a really positive day.
