High doses of Mounjaro/Boots ordering

Hi all,

I worked my way up to the highest dose of Wegovy with no issue.

I then switched to MJ as it's was cheaper and has better long term results.

I've just finished my 10mg pen and am struggling a bit. I feel pretty tired and I get low blood sugar when I stand in the shower or walk more than a short distance. I have barely any appetite which means I am swiftly approaching a healthy weight. I'm due to start the 12.5mg pen I have in the fridge on my next injection.

I'm really loathe to NOT go up the doses tho. I'm so used to trying to get as much drug as I can for my money. (I also take the 5th dose in a pen).

In an idea world I'd take half a dose out a pen maybe once every 8 days or so until my body gets used to it. But Boots seem fussy - they make you go back and start again at 2.5mg if you they think you haven't injected for more than 2 weeks. So you need to keep ordering pens regularly.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Thanks

You might be better asking for this to be moved to the Weightloss injectables forum to get more answers.

My take on it is, if you are getting the suppression you need at 10mg then it is not a waste to stay on that dose, especially if you are getting unwanted side effects (zero appetite). I will be staying on the lowest dose possible to meet my needs. The pen should give you a 5 bonus dose within the 30 days if using less so you are saving.

I would use the 12.5mg pen to inject 10mg for a couple of weeks (every 7 days) and see how you go. If you continue to have too much suppression on 10mg that it makes you weak, speak to your provider about perhaps reducing instead.

Do you mean low blood pressure? Surely if your blood sugar is low it works impact all parts of your life, not just standing in the shower or walking.

Keep ordering at the usual schedule expected by boots but use the pens up at your own rate. You’ll end up with a stockpile in your fridge. I’m on 10mg but only taking 7.5mg shots each week. I’m ok with using a pen for more than 30 days, you may decide this isn’t for you though

No "might", you are definitely talking out of turn here. If you don't know the answer to OP's question, why would you post something completely irrelevant?

The reasons are numerous and individual to the person, and many are obvious and don't need explaining.

If you have not been/are not severely or morbidly obese, failed time and time again to lose the weight with no help from health care providers, and your health is now impacted and you are spiraling towards disability and feel helpless you won't understand. If you do not believe obesity is a symptom of bigger, complex, health issues rather than just lazy fat people who eat too many cakes you are unlikely to ever understand. The same way I cannot understand why an alcoholic can't just drink a bit less or someone with anorexia cannot just eat a bit more as I haven't experienced their issues that are causing them to significantly impact their health.

These injections are prescribed by Drs, they are only prescribed to those that are obese. They are very expensive and have side effects, most are not taking them lightly.

Is there a more specific question you have related to your own weight issues or are you just wanting to be critical of others choices? You have no idea how impacting this type of cruel, mocking judgement is to people who are just trying to make their lives and health better.

If people think they will help their severe weight issues, know al the risks, the question back to you is, why should they not use them??? <--- note the three question marks for extra goadyness

Injections are what ENABLE me to eat healthy. They keep the cravings at bay. And exercise does fuck all for weight loss.

It's a bit like saying "why are people taking pills for insomnia when they should just get a good night's sleep?"

Anyway, I hope that satisfies your false, wide-eyed naivety. Now piss the fuck off.

Thanks to the people who gave polite and helpful responses and not the sad case who is on here laughing at fat people to make themselves feel better about their own miserable little life.

Didn't know there was a forum specifically for weight loss injections.

I don't think that poster was laughing at fat people. Showing a lack of understanding maybe, but you've placed a lot of conjecture on that single post.

@Benjilassi it was obvious fake wide-eyed naivety and goady. Not an innocent post and it would appear MN have agreed with me.

Ive just started on 0.25mg of Wegovy. I know I'm being impatient but at what dose should I begin to start feeling full and losing weight?

Whilst I appreciate its different for everybody please share your personal situation as I can gauge what to expect. Thank you x

Fair point.

@ItsOnlyMeAgain2000 You should probably expect to feel something on 5mg. You might be better starting your own thread.
