Hi! I have already made many publications about my skin, but my thigh skin worries me a lot.. I am 17 years old, I am 82 kg and 1m55 and I would like to lose about 30 kg or more... I have lost a lot and regained weight and so I have a lot of stretch marks.. however I wonder if my skin has also lost all its elasticity... I have added some photos to show you, my thighs are very flacky, and I can pull my skin as we can see in a photo, and also my skin wrinkles a lot when I manipulate it, we can also see in another photo... here I would very much like to have opinions about my skin and to know if after losing the weight I want (about 30-35 kg) my skin will be very hanging and folded, in fact if I will have a lot of loose skin and if it will necessarily require surgery or if it will be catchable with sport and time?I tell myself that if my skin is like that now, with 35 kg less it will be worse...
every opinions would help me a lot ! i really need an external opinion ! so help me please !!
thank you :)

I answered your other post.

your skin hasn’t reached all its elasticity - you are young and it will bounce back. If it had no elasticity you wouldn’t be able to walk or move at all. It’s just that it’s been stretched for a little while hence there are some marks from stretching. It will bounce back.

also please remember that skin is an organ, what you see on models online is they seem to have no pores, no marks, no lines, no movement. That’s not real. It’s digital manipulation. Skin is flexible and moves. It is not all one colour. It is protecting your body so it’s thick and moveable. Everyone can pull their skin up like that.

skin is always regenerating I am twice your age and even my skin still regenerates and it’s not until you are actually elderly that your skin will get thinner and less elastic

I really think you need to talk to someone about how you are feeling as you seem very anxious about this

you are normal OP and this is what normal skin looks like

hey! I think your skin will be fine if you lose the weight slowly but honestly if I could go back and tell my 17 year old self who was obsessed with her thighs that there are so many cooler more exciting fun ways to spend her time I would. I’d also say that you’re maybe comparing your skin to models online who are photoshopped or in very flattering positions and lighting etc. they probably have similar skin in the position you are in. I spent years with a stupid and annoying and painful eating disorder (I’m 34 now). Long story short I only started losing weight when I stopped obsessing about my
body and started having fun and doing things that felt like life was worth living. Just sending you lots of courage. If you feel like you’re really anxious about your body counselling would be amazing- by a professional of course!
