Last week I did the following and I lost 3 pounds:
Started each morning with lemon & mint water on empty stomach.
Cut all sugar from hot drinks from 2 tsp to nothing.
Drank black coffee.
Drank lemon & mint water throughout each day - previously I was dehydrated, and used to drink Robinson’s.
No milk in drinks - had previously used full fat milk.
Ate only a handful of crisps - down from 2 share sized bags per week to myself.
Cut portion sizes by around 1/3.
Only had one bottle of wine - down from 2.
Went to bed earlier - usually by 11pm.
Walked on average, 4 miles per day.
I have also been eating Greek yoghurt with a nectarine for breakfast, followed by pasta or salad for lunch, and chicken and vegetables or rice for dinner.
I have not been snacking.
I did the same as above in previous summers and in one week I lost 12 pounds, and 10 pounds another time. Why have I only lost 3 pounds this time???
For reference, I am heavily overweight. I started at 15 and a half stone, and I’m now 15 stone 4 ounces. Everyone has always told me that the more weight someone has to lose, they tend to have a more rapid weight loss at the beginning of a diet, but I’m not seeing that.
Please help! Would you advise I adjust anything else in my diet, or must I now get back to the gym in addition to walking 4 miles a day, and following the above dietary habits???
I am doing exactly the same as above this week too.
