Can I lose a stone in 4 weeks ?

Just had an op. I'm not immobile but no gym for 2 weeks. My plan is:
No alcohol/bread/sugar (inc fruit)/crap/ready meals
Walk 5 miles every day, regardless
Lots of water
Power hooping every day for 30 mins
Lots of protein/fish/veg

Thoughts ?

I’ve lost a stone in 4
weeks before, but there are so many variables. How much do you weigh over your ideal weight (physical ideal- not mental ideal)? The more overweight you are the easier those initial lbs will
come off.
From your planning you sound like you are in a good space and doing the right things !

3lb a week is a lot, more than you should be trying to lose safely. If you have a very high starting weight it's possible.

Cerialkiller · 14/06/2024 06:11

Yes I've done it in 3 in fact. I was only 24 though and was 13stone. it was my first ever attempt at keto and I went in hard and strict with reduced portions.

Breakfast was full fat natural with strawberries or raspberries

Lunch was keto soup or leafy salad with protein and oil dressing.

Dinner was meat/dairy/eggs and green veg (broccoli, courgette, cabbage, french beans). Curry, meatballs in tomato sauce, fajita chicken with sour cream and cheese, kebabs with yoghurt dip etc etc.

No snacks, no sweets, no days off. Priority was nutrition and minimising carbs.

Yes you can if you have a few stone to lose, minimum carbs and keep to around 800 calories per day.

Keto
Water
Walking

Should get a sizeable chunk off but you'll probably feel pretty awful and not sure it's very wise to put your body in a state of deprivation when it's recovering from an op

Fast800. I've lost 10lbs in 2 weeks

First few days is rough but now I feel fantastic. All.sugar cravings gone

@ConsideringNC
Is fast 800 the 16/8 diet but then the 800 cals in between?
I do 16/8 and have started to get my cals around 1000 and weight is coming off…. Might move it to 800 though if that works well?

PrincessOfPreschool · 14/06/2024 06:40

I do 16:8 with 800 but not much movement this week. Initially (first 2 weeks) I lost a fair bit. I think maybe I need to drink more. I didn't realise the water helped ketosis.

OP, I think you'll need to cut carbs as they turn into sugar so no point cutting sugar. I have done that many times, compensating with carbs or healthy nuts. Nuts are so calorific, I know understand why I could cut sugar and bread and still not lose weight!

I like the 800 as you can have cream, cheese, bacon etc. But I have it in 2 nice meals per day.
