I'm hoping to lose 3 stone to bring me down to 9stone. My bmi is high and I just feel horrible in myself with the extra weight the usual none of my clothes fit, holiday coming soon etc.
I know it's not all about the scales but I did some body measurements today and my waist is coming in at 38inches? Clothes size I wear a uk12-14. Am I measuring wrong or can this be correct? I'm 5ft 2. Thanks

If you're 5ft 2 and 12 stone, that sounds about right.
I also carry most of my weight around my waist, but it's the first thing to go when I do lose weight.

Yeah, I don't see why not. Were you expecting it to be lower? It will soon reduce once you reduce calories and try and eat healthier. A lot of women store quite a bit of fat in the stomach area.

Yes I'd think you are measuring wrong. At 36 inch waist i wear a size 16, sometimes 18 in tighter jeans.

Unless you're always in leggings/stretchy waisted clothing, I'd be surprised if you were a 38 inch waist and comfortably in 12-14 sized clothing.
