I have recently lost 4 stone , 3 on my own and then the last one on slimming world.
i had an op over xmas and have since put back on nearly a stone, I just can't seem to get motivated to shift it, doing plenty of excercise.
Anyway I want to lose it fairly quickly as I am getting to the point of being fed up with being obbsessed with my weight.
Anyone had any luck with this or know another way to lose a stone fairly quick, I can keep it off once I have lost it but just need a boost to start me off.

It works for me as a quick fix but I do put the weight back on as soon as I start eating "properly" again. Usually only works for 3- 4 weeks as well

cambrdge diet? or lighterlife but your bmi has to be 26+ 1 stone i think.

xx

had a quick look at them but they seem to be if you have a lot of weight to lose.
Don't think I could manage without food at all tbh.
Going to try slimfast but prehaps have third meal as bowl of cereal or something really low cal.

yes they are.

why not try WW or slimming world?

cherryredretrochick · 07/04/2008 17:35

did SW, lost a stone and stuck to it until I had my op, I now can't seem to get back into it, I have been trying for weeks and I do it for 2 or 3 days a wekk and then have a blow out.
Am meeting old Uni friends at the weekend and my bf is a size 8 and has no dc so I don't want to look like a huge lazy blob.

I feel your pain. I lost 31/2 stone last year with cambridge diet. I have put on a stone since and would love to do cambridge again but too expensive and need to really need to lose more than a stone with it.

I have just started cutting down on carbs, kind of doing slimming world (having too many syns though!) and jogging every day.

cherryredretrochick · 07/04/2008 17:52

wish I could get motivation to jog daily, I am pushing it at 3 times a week.

Only just started so watch this space! I take ds's mp3 player and a dog.

It works, but I found I put all the weight back on and more once I stopped. Also, the foods/soups are full of sugar and other additives.

Also - you may want to bear in mind that I nicknamed it Slimfart !!

hercules1 · 07/04/2008 17:56

I have used slimfast and considered it again but really thought it better this time to do some exercise plus I cant face not eating again after cambridge diet.

I m going to try, had my first shake a few minutes ago, it was lovely, haven't eaten much today anyway so thought it would be ok instead of dinner. Managed to feed the dc loads of choc biscuits and not eat any, also managed to resist the cake that someone had brought to playgroup this morning so off to a good start.
Going to go out running later.
