Struggling to lose weight

Ionasmum19 · 08/06/2024 22:50

I'm struggling to lose weight and its really getting me down. I work full time, leaving the house at 8.45 and not getting home till 5.30, working in an office job so sat down most of the day. I have a DD so don't really have the time to go to the gym etc by the time I do the usual nightly routine. Have looked into intermittent fasting, does anyone have any feedback on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated 🩷

The only way I have lost weight is through fasting. Start doing the 16/8 to get used to eating in a shorter time frame and then reduce the time down to 20/4. Just eat sensibly in your time window but do eat until
You are full. Once youve seen results some people revert back to 16/8 to maintain.
Loosing weight does
Take dedication and perseverance. I'm currently perimenopause so have a strong desire to eat carbs which is a
Nightmare if you're watching your waistline!! Good luck OP

I also work these hours.

I get up early and do a YouTube workout in my lounge or I go for a really brisk walk. Do you have a DH/Dp or are you a single parent?

I also sometimes end up doing work outs or walks 8-9pm but I also walk on my lunch break and get up every hour from my desk and walk around the building too

i Walk a lot on weekends and get up early or spend the day out doing activities

I calorie count so the whole day is mapped out for what I will eat which helps and I use the work fridge to store things

Take a look at Jason Fung on YOutUbe he explains intermittent fasting really clearly, he is a Canadian doctor and makes it very easy to understand.
To make fasting easier you can also reduce processed carbs.
Best of luck!
