Help me drink more water!

I hate plain water, sparkling is ok.
I know I should drink more as I'm getting my liquids with mostly tea and coffee.
I don't want to take extra sugar but surely there must be something out there that makes water interesting enough to chug down a couple of litres a day?
Hit me with your best tips?!

Buying myself a stanley cup has been a game changer for me. I don't know why but its just so much easier to drink through a straw! It holds just over a litre so I have 2 cups a day. It also keeps the water cool and it tastes better than from a glass. They're a bit pricey but there are plenty of cheaper versions around x

I think just stick to the sparkling if you find it ok?

Other idea is one of those bottles with the measurements on so you can drink a bit at a time and see your progress.

Finally, my DD has one of those AirUp bottles as she can’t stand plain water. They are just smells so it wouldn’t mess with your diet I think.

Drinking through a straw will hasten those cat’s bum lines around your mouth!

You get used to water the more you drink it. I also prefer it cold.

Similar to pp, I use a bottle and know I need to drink it twice over in a day. I carry it around with me so I sip it a lot and get through it. If I waited to get a drink each time, I would never go and get water.

Slice up a lemon or a lime (or a combination of both) and add those to a bottle of water. Could try with other fruits too.

Alternatively, have you tried drinking hot water? Sounds a bit weird, but it's actually very soothing. I sometimes have it with lemon in too.

We don't need as much water as we are often told. Too much can be dangerous. Just sip a litre or so during the day and have your tea/coffee.

I find mint or lemon very nice in both plain or fizzy water.

This week I've been trying Robinsons Fruit Fusions Lime and Mint Cordial in fizzy water ... really nice

Infuse it. I add mint or rosemary, cucumber, strawberries. Sliced orange, lime and lemon are great. Once at a spa I had chilli and lemon infused water. It was spicy but invigorating.

Keep a small, pretty glass near the kitchen sink so it catches your eye and drink a glassful every time you go to wash your hands or fill the kettle.

Keep a glass of water by your bed.

Try fruit and herbal infusions or redbush tea. None of these are caffeinated, so they should hydrate you.

I don't like water either so I use just enough apple juice to make it taste as though there's squash in (don't like squash as all "no added sugar chemical crap).

I have a pint a day with a vitamin C fizzy in, another pint with a B fizzy. Then I make pints of mint or ginger herbal tea with a little bit of honey.

Ooh these are great tips!

Funnily enough I have a friend with an Air Up and was contemplating it.

there is no need to "chug down a couple of litres a day" - this was invented by the bottled water industry - ignore it

the colour of your urine will tell you how much water you need to drink. It shouldn’t be too clear and have no colour or smell. Look at the colour when you go and the darker it is, have something to drink over the next hour or so. There is still water in tea so you aren’t not having liquids
