Hi there,

Really would appreciate any help. I’m really grateful to have been able to carry a child and breastfeed (still am) but I’m feeling very low about my new body. My boobs as so saggy and my stomach really sticks out.

I’m always hungry and craving sweet stuff not sure if it is the breastfeeding causing it.

really want to get my body back but don’t know how. I have DT about two fingers gap but the length of it is quite short.

any advice on diet plans what to eat that helped you would be amazing.

thank you!

Do I understand correctly that by DT you mean diastasis recti? Have you not done any exercises for DR at all? I’m not criticising you but the longer you wait the harder it is to fix.

I don’t have any advice regarding diet except for the standard eat well and don’t keep snacks at home if you cannot stop snacking, but before you attempt any exercise routine focus on fixing your DR there are specific exercises just for that.

Doing anything other like planks, pushups, sit-ups, even standard pilates core work will only make your diastasis recti worse and permanent. You can of course run, walk, swim and so on but don’t attempt anything that requires core strength before closing the gap.

I’m talking from experience, I had to close my gap twice and managed to do it both times, the last time at nearly 40. I put on weight in pregnancy within the healthy range and I was active in both pregnancies, doing pilates and yoga. I still got huge gaps both times.
