Struggling

Hey!
I'm new here, so sorry if I’ve posted in the wrong place.
Since October 2020, I’ve lost 10 stone. I was originally 21st 6 and am now around 11st 5(ish) however I am now majorly struggling. I calorie count every day however when I do have a day off, it turns into a week off and then I just go crazy. I’m not even sure what the point of this post is to be honest. I’m going to start again tomorrow (weigh day for me is a Friday) and hopefully I can get through a week of being sensible. My birthday is coming up soon as well so wanted to be able to relax for the day then.
Sorry for rambling and if you’ve got this far, thank you for reading x

Consistency is key tbh. If you do go overboard one day then it is a case of not letting it blow all your efforts and get back on track the next day. One day of eating too much does little harm, extending it to several days will undo all your hard work.
You’ve done amazingly but are now sabotaging your efforts. Relaxing your diet isn’t a treat if it ends up with self loathing and punishing yourself. A small slice of cake on your birthday is fine. Eating a ginormous meal, having several alcoholic drinks plus half the box of chocolates you’ve been bought as well as a slice of cake won’t make for a happy birthday!

A bit of motivation here.

Are you aiming to maintain or do you need to loose more to be a healthy BMI?
It is hard to transition to maintaining vs loosing gaining loosing.

I’d like to lose a little bit more, maybe a stone at most? I managed to get down to 11stone and now keep flitting between this at 11 and a half x

just keep trying to get your mind back into the zone.
maybe a few sticky notes to remind you that today is the first day back in control.
lots of support on a few threads here on MN, i like the monthly LOOSE IT chatter, and people do mention their everyday struggles and some days are harder than others.

Wow you have one amazingly well op! Congratulations on all of that weight loss! That takes real commitment which means you can do it.

Maybe it’s time to build in a weekly treat or a day when you don’t have too many restrictions if you haven’t done so already so you don’t go all out?

Be kind to yourself too and build in treats that aren’t related to food!

I am sure others will be along soon who know more about plateaus than I do but just wanted to say don’t be too hard on yourself, consistency is key, and you have already achieved loads!
