I am at the end of day two. Not too bad but very determined to lose weight this time. Hope I can keep this up!!

chocolatespiders · 10/04/2008 13:52

silver i think 3 stone in 3 months is very realistic.... go for it....

silver73 · 11/04/2008 16:35

thanks for that. I am on day 4 and it is getting easier. Have lost 5 lbs and started to do callanetics to get the muscles toned...

mulranno · 14/04/2008 09:52

can I join your thread? not getting any feedback from my attempt at putting a lighter life thread together...and its basically the same thing...just experienced a bad pmt driven carb craving...so this week3 has been the worst

SpacecadetOnADiet · 14/04/2008 20:25

can I join?? I was initially told by my gp that I couldnt do CD because I have a kidney problem..however, another gp in the practice does not see any reason why I cant do the plan, as long as I drink plenty of water..my health is so bad that my gp has said if I dont lose weight, Ill probably pop my clocgs before im 40..well im 36 so thats a bit scary..ive got 6 stone to lose, but I cant exercise as im disabled so realistically this is probably my last chance to lose weight..now I just need to find a counsellor

readyfornum2 · 15/04/2008 08:48

Hi and welcome MULRANNO and SPACECADETONADIET X
Of course you can join x
Hope you are both doing well

Well its the end of week 7 for me and I have lost 4lbs which brings me to a total of 38lbs in 7 weeks

Squiffy · 16/04/2008 12:57

38lb well done you. I am back on the diet properly and it has actually been fine getting back into it (esp as I have lost 3lb already this week and we're only at Wednesday).

SpaceCadet - go for it! The joy of this diet is the kick you get when the weight starts falling off really quickly, and the hunger only lasts for the first couple of days (Maybe you could get your GP to prescribe something to get you over hunger pangs the first few days?). Have you found a counsellor?

My only advice would be to be very careful during the 5th week when you 'add a meal' - this is what sent me off course first time round - eating even the tiniest bit of food brought back my cravings. I know you shouldn't, but I am going to try to avoid adding this meal - I will treat myself to extra soups instead (maybe even a bedtime hot chocolate). will check with my counsellor if he is happy with this.

I am also going to try to avoid the chocolate bars as well - I seemed to get a bit addicted to them last time!

SpacecadetOnADiet · 16/04/2008 13:27

Well, Ive phoned a counsellor and am just waiting for her to ring back..Im so excited..Ive wanted to do this plan for about a year!.

readyfornum2 · 16/04/2008 18:36

Squiffy you dont have to do add a meal anymore!!
They have changed the plan and you can ss for upto 12 weeks and then you do the 810 plan for a week and then back to ss

Squiffy · 17/04/2008 09:17

cool

SpacecadetOnADiet · 20/04/2008 22:31

am really cross, have left 2 messages for CD counsellor, but no reply

readyfornum2 · 21/04/2008 06:15

Hi Space is there another CDC in your area? It sounds like they may be unreliable and that is something you definately dont need on this diet? If you go to the cambridge website it will list them in your area and if that doesnt work phone them as not all are on the list x

Bunsofsteel · 21/04/2008 20:38

Hi,

Room for a little big one?!

I did CD before Christmas and lost really well, but then failed totally to get back on the wagon until now (fool!).

I find these threads really helpful. I have started today with some sachets left over from befeor Christmas but my first weigh in is a week on Wed, so I shall report back then.

readyfornum2 · 22/04/2008 14:05

Hi all how are we all doing?
Silver73 not heard from you in a while are you still on the wagon?

Well I have just finished week 8 and I have lost 5lbs this week which brings me to a total of 3 stone 1lb in 8 weeks!!

only another 4 stone 6lbs to go!!

Overtiredmum · 23/04/2008 21:43

Hi all, I just wanted to say that I think you are all doing really well. I finished CD nearly three weeks ago now, switching straight over to WW to lose last 10lbs. I have lost another 6 lbs in 2 weeks with WW so now a total of 40lbs in just under three months. So keep it up and I would definitely recommend switching to WW or SW when you finish, it has really helped me!

BunsofSteel · 26/04/2008 20:15

Overtiredmum,

It's so good to hear how well you've done. That's fantastic. I was on a previous thread at the same time as you under a different name. I fell off the CD wagon at Christmas and I am now finally back on it again! How I feel when I read how much you've managed to lose in the time I've been gone.

I am on day six and feeling pretty hungry. Tonight, I resisted fish and chips, so it's no wonder my taste buds are tingling. However, I know that if I just stick to CD I will get my reward and I will use you as my inspiration. If I match you, I could have a BMI under 25 by mid-July which would be wonderful.

I think you should change your name, by the way. Are you zinging with energy now?

Has every disappeared to another thread? Oh, well, will post first week anyway. Eight pounds off (that was in ten days rather than seven). Result - feel loads better already and I am in the groove!
