I need to lose a stone in May, never attempted anything like this before. Accountability account

Is anyone with me!

I'm thinking what plan to do calorie counting/ a bit of morning fasting etc not sure yet.

As long as you are in a calorie deficit you should lose weight. Try using a TDEE calculator to find out how many calories you should be consuming.

Losing 1 stone in 1 month is quite ambitious depending on how heavy you are to begin with. People usually lose between 1-2lbs a week on average

I need to lose about 4 stone in total but my diet has been horrendous and I don't do k much water so going to change that immediately.

I will weigh in tomorrow also and I'm going to focus on protein and fibre rich foods with plenty of water

I'm in, I need to lose about 2 stone overall (not going to try and do that in a month). Struggling with the sneaky extra calories from the odd snack or glass of wine here and there.

A stone is loads!
But even a few lbs off is better than none so definitely aim for a calorie deficit and up the amount of water you’re drinking.

I don’t advocate anything that is too extreme or restrictive so I wouldn’t advise a crash diet of any kind, they really do come back on you in terms of your health and wellbeing.

I'll try joining in! I'll aim for half a stone in May though, to be realistic. I have lost a stone and a half over the last 18 months. I'm pretty happy with slow and steady, as that's how it went on, but I could do with a bit of a boost before summer. I'll weigh in tomorrow as I've already had breakfast today. I need to loose about 2 stone to get to a BMI of 25. I'm hoping some accountability on here will be motivating! Good luck everyone.

I’m going to join in, I have been doing Caroline Girvan workouts from YouTube since Feb but have only lost about half a stone, I really struggle with the calorie deficit! I can see a little bit of a difference in my body though I need some accountability.

Weighed in today at 13 stone 8 and have had just under 1600 cals.

Id love to get into the 12 stone bracket at least by the end of the month!

Just downloaded a calorie counter app to help me as I'm rubbish at counting calories properly and keeping on top of where I am. This app seems to think I will be goal weight by September!

The apps aren't completely correct there will be fluctuations.

I'm off work for the next 5 days so can't ensure I eat well because always loads of sweet treats in work.

Please can I join in? I would love to lose a stone in May. I lost nearly a stone over the last 8 weeks but then I got covid a week ago and I haven't dared to get on the scales as I stopped my healthy eating. I would be happy to end May at 12stone.
I'm getting back in the healthy eating tomorrow.

Hi,

I'm hoping to lose 3stone. Heaviest I've ever been at 11st 11lbs! Absolutely mortified, and feel horrible. I'm a shortie as well.
I will be cutting out snacking, crisps, chocolate and fizzy drinks. I need to have more protein with salads and veg! At 43 I feel it's going to be more difficult than before.
