Indulge me, please.

After years and years of disordered eating and struggles with food, I think I’m in a good place and feeling positive around food and my diet and body. I’m currently trying to lose a lot of weight and have successfully managed through calorie deficit for the past eight months.

Today I had-

Breakfast
Fat-free Greek yogurt with chia seeds, kiwi, and banana.

Lunch
Egg white omelette containing mushrooms and peppers with a high-protein tortilla, hot sauce, cheese, and rocket.
Some mango.
Cappuccino with slimmed milk.

Dinner
Two potatoes cut into chips and seasoned with salt, pepper, and paprika and some olive oil, cooked in the airfryer, seasoned airfryer-cooked chicken fillet, tender stem broccoli, asparagus and some lemon and tarragon mayo.

Snack
Cup of tea with skimmed milk and a teacake (the marshmallow/chocolate ones from M&S- 137kcals)

Looks good , as ever it's about portion size. Were they massive potatoes or teeny ones. Did any snacks or soft drinks creep in?

Potatoes were small to medium. The chips ended up being a decent portion but not huge- maybe took up a third of a standard dinner plate.

Only snack was the teacake, and I don’t drink soft drinks at all, but did have a bit over 1.5l of water.

I’m just so shocked at myself for how I’ve turned my eating habits around. A year ago, my Friday diet would have looked very, very different and would have involved a very big takeaway plus lots of chocolate.

Dare I say it, I’m quite enjoying eating well and taking control of my diet.

That's so good, and you've kept it up for a long time. Looks like you've changed your approach to your diet for good

I think what's more important is that you are successfully managing to lose weight through whatever eating plan you are following . If this is working for you,
I would be a bit wary of asking for opinions on here - as people can be very definitive as to what they believe is an ideal diet - weight loss or otherwise. It would be a shame if you ended up by being sidetracked by someone else's opinions .

But for what it's worth this looks great .
