Losing 7 stone

I've posted a few times about wanting and needing to lose weight but could never really manage it for whatever reason before now.

I've been working hard on fixing my mental health and I'm in a much better place than I've been in years and think I can finally manage to start losing the weight.

We have a big family holiday in 14 months time that requires a lot of travel and walking and fitting on rides which are either weight restricted or size restricted and damn it I want to go on rides!!

I was wondering is a target for 7 stone weight loss in that time is unobtainable? For reference I'm 5'3 and currently 16 stone. To get to 9 stone I would be upper end of healthy BMI.

Thank you.

Don't think about losing 7 stone. Think about losing the first pound, then the next, then the next. 1-2lb a week is sustainable weight loss and your goal is theoretically achievable but honestly, I wouldn't think of it like that. A week at a time. Sustainable change. Learn about calories in va. Calories out, increase your activity. A step at a time. (It's taken me 18 months to lose 4.5 stone but I have not been totally consistent...)

The day I knew inside that it was time to lose weight…I stood on the scales I’d been hiding from and I felt like crying. But I thought to myself - you will never, ever, be this weight again. And over the course of the next two years I lost 100lbs. I kept it off for years then had more children and put half back on which I need to work on - but the point is, I have never come close to seeing that number. Focus on losing one pound (which is a bag of sugar, be proud of losing it!) and then the next one pound (two bags of sugar, pick two up in your hands and feel what that is, be proud!) and so on.
