The bloody weight gain

Looked at myself this morning and realised that all the extras I've been eating and the sedentary job I have, have made me put on weight around my stomach and upper thighs. I've never had this problem before.

What is the quickest way to get it off? Apart from not eating crap food which I will stop today.

Help!!!

Cut out the 'extras', exercise to make up for the sedentary job to stop gaining.
Then obviously you'll need adjustment while you lose what you gained. Reducing the amount of carbs especially 'white carbs' is a generally healthy approach. Eat more veg...eg if you're having spaghetti bolognaise have a small amount of pasta but lots of shredded cavalero Nero and/or brocolli with the sauce.

Also consider whether some form of intermittent fasting will work for you. I found 5:2 worked quite well but now I just stick to an 'eating window' - I find that I'm fine with just a milky coffee mid morning, lunch, dinner and then absolutely no evening snacking.

You may find something like the nutracheck app useful.

Don’t worry about it being quick.

Cut out some of the extras, and put in a few more steps and a lot more veg.

I find following intuitive eaters and anti diet culture people on Instagram helps keep perspective.

Eating less crap will help (it’ll be mostly that tbh).
But also try and move more, factor in a walk at lunch, if you work in an office walk to the station, or park further away etc. It’ll be easier to get more steps in now it’s lighter (hopefully the rain will stop soon!)

I am walking 1.8 miles in the morning but sit at a desk for 8 hours solid.
It's my fault I know. I hate my job and looking for new jobs now
