I was 52kg before pregnancy and around 68kg a week before giving birth. First 6kg came off rapidly after birth. I'm now 7 weeks post partum and weight doesn't seem to be dropping. I'm combi feeding as baby had toungue tie and my milk supply is low.

How long should I give it before dieting ?

7 weeks is incredibly soon. 9 months on 9 months off is a phrase that gets bandied about a lot and is a good rule of thumb.

I'm 10m pp. As you say first 6 kg fell off o er night. I got down to 3 kg pre pregnancy weight. Then being at home lack of sleep, bfing/pumping/ formula, even less sleep, bad diet to help get me through the day and by 8m pp back up to full pregnancy weight.

Have gone on a health kick, upped my water and exercise and have since lost 9kg. 3 more to go. But, my god they are hanging on for dear life!

I've always been told a year, to aim for to get back to "normal". Although, after dc1 I was never quite as slim again.
