I am very very overweight. I don't really post about WL on my SM as I don't want friends to get the impression I'd judge their weight (I wouldn't). However, I have a health condition that is probably being exacerbated by my weight. I've tried to lose weight in the past, but I've struggled to lose weight and keep it off and a bit more weight has gone on each time.

Anyway, I've addressed a lot of the factors that were making it harder for me to lose weight in the past (particularly mental health) and tried to see it as a lifestyle change rather than a diet and actually "listen" to my body, and since last summer, I've lost 15% of my original body weight! Still a long way to go to even get into the "overweight" BMI category, but amazing progress.

It really hit me today when I put on some shorts that were tight when I bought them 18 months ago, and wouldn't fit at all last summer - they're loose now!

Sorry for the long post - just so happy I had to share! I'd love to hear about your wins too. Happy to answer questions about what's worked for me (not selling or promoting anything as there have been no fads involved!)

Congratulations! That's a big achievement and you've done it in a way that sounds balanced and sustainable. Losing weight- if you are trying to- can be such a boost for your physical and mental health. I am a lifelong member of the put it on/take it off club. There always comes a point with me after months of being unhappy with it where I can actually do something about it because, for some reason, my mind is in the right place.
