Hi! I’m struggling with my weight. I’m 41 and it just doesn’t seem to come off as easily as it used to. I’ve done SW, WW and CC. But I think it all just comes down to healthy eating and exercise. I’m usually pretty good through the week but the weekend are my downfall. We go away in May with family. Im always the fattest. I’m trying to love my body but it’s hard. X

What is a typical day's food for you @imfromwales?

Cereal or toast breakfast
Soup and slice bread and piece of fruit for lunch
For dinner it varies
I eat not biscuits crisps etc
And very low amount of alcohol only have glass or 2 on a Friday evening

I know you don't want to be told what not to eat @imfromwales, but I am going to tell you that! Your diet looks quite carb heavy.

Instead, how about:

Breakfast - natural yoghurt, (full fat Greek), with some berries - raspberries or strawberries are good. Or, if you're not keen on yoghurt, eggs in some form - boiled, or an omelette (with cheese perhaps).

Lunch - some kind of protein with salad/veg - e.g. a tuna niçoise salad, with hard-boiled egg, lettuce, cucumber, green beans, olives and tomatoes (avoid the potatoes), and a vinaigrette dressing

Dinner - you haven't said what you're eating here, but avoid pasta and rice-based meals, and instead have some form of protein (meat, eggs or fish), with vegetables. (Not including potatoes).

Make sure you're eating healthy fats - e.g. extra virgin olive oil, or butter - don't buy 'diet' or 'light' anything.

Drink plenty of water and, as you're already doing, keep the alcohol low.

Don't worry about exercise, if you're in too much pain. While exercise is good for us generally, you have to do a lot of it to lose weight. The focus should be on your diet.

Good luck (and I hope that's helpful)
