Trying noom - no idea why it’s working but it is. Does anyone want to join me in losing 2st for summer?

I’m only a week into using noom and honestly, I was sceptical but it’s a free trial and everything else is failing. I think the most I’ve lost in week one over the multiple false starts in the last year is 1lb. When I was younger and needed to shift a few lbs, week 1 I’d lose 3-4 and then subsequent weeks 1-2 but it’s so much harder to shift in my 40s and so I fall off the wagon disheartened very quickly.

Noom is essentially a more faffy MyFitnessPal with nice messages, so I should hate it. MyFitnessPal has all my meals saved etc so why would noom work and MyFitnessPal not? I don’t really understand but I think it’s the green, orange and red foods. Previously I’d probably eat 50% of my calories in chocolate but I’m clearly making better choices. It is weird but long may it continue.

It may also be that signing up has coincided with motivation picking up… anyway, whatever works right?

How did you get a free trial?
It seems very expensive.to me when I looked a long time ago.
I'm interested as WW & SW don't work for me.

How does it work?

It’s like my fitness pal plus messages that are simple but seem to just gently remind you about your choices. You log your food and do a tiny bit of reading. The weirdest thing is I’m not hungry and not binging on chocolate… I cannot see why that would have changed due to an app.

I think the green, orange and red foods is useful.

I think they offer a free 2 weeks for everyone. Or, start filling in the form with email but stop before paying - then you’ll get an email.
