Hi,

I am really struggling with my weight (and therefore my health) at the moment. I am starting afresh every single day but am struggling hugely with motivation. I've joined various diet clubs in the past, but over the past 4 years or so have managed to maintain a weight I was happy with alone. However I have gained a lot during the past 9-12 months and really would like to shift it for health as well as vanity reasons.

I have no interest in joining something such as Slimming World or Weight Watchers, and definitely don't want any meal replacement plans but I do feel that being accountable to someone other than myself would help me hugely. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you Smile

Nutracheck is a calorie counting app which you pay a fee for unlike my fitness pal. IMO it's much better too. On their website they do an online weigh in every week where you weigh with other people (you don't see each others weights just how you've done that week)

It might give you the accountability you're looking for without the whole SW/WE happy clappy ethos

I think Noom is in the UK? I am in the USA, I haven't used it but it's very popular.

If you can afford it I would honesty find a good personal trainer, not only will they help you get strong and fit but they are usually very knowledgeable about nutrition, and you can screen and interview them.

Meeting someone in person is highly motivating and keeps you accountable.

Thank you, I have started looking into personal trainers. I think it would be a good option. If only I could buy willpower 🤣
