Hi all, I have at least 7 stone to lose and have a lot of health conditions. Not diabetic though but have liver disease and Pcos. Has anyone had any luck being prescribed these weight loss injections on the NHS?

I'm Not in the UK but Mounjaro has been absolutely a miracle for me.
Lost 23kg so far since October

I think it's pretty impossible to get on NHS. You need to meet certain criteria to get on a diet plan referral, so BMI over 40ish maybe, and another condition, then the process is long and even if you get to the point of meeting the criteria to prescribe, they still are reluctant. This is what I've read from other posts.

I had a GP appointment on Friday to discuss my weight. He said weight loss injections are not currently avaliable on the NHS except for diabetics (after they have tried at least 2 tablet forms of medication first). He said hopefully they will be avaliable for weight loss in the Autumn but they will only be avaliable through tier 3 weight management services so your normal gp won't be able to prescribe x

I don't think it's currently possible to get on the NHS. Eventually I think it will be merely very difficult to get on the NHS rather than impossible.
