Hi all, am pre diabetic and trying to lose weight and choose lower carb options to improve my HbA1C.
Currently I have to things that work for me

work days (2 days a week) - I have a protein bagel thin with marmite for brek
lunch I have a salad with lettuce, chicory, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, 2 tsp Mayo and 30g cheese.
afterboon snack full fat yoghurt, walnuts, raspberries, chia seeds

non work days (3 days a week)
- don’t eat anything from after dinner until lunch which can be anywhere between 12-2. Then have two slices toast with poached eggs. Nothing until dinner other than handful of almonds or walnuts.
My work days is non negotiable, I need to keep that the same. My question is should I adopt the work day diet on the non work days? It feels better for me, more nutrients and plants, but with the NWD I get fewer calories and a longer fast.
I can’t fast then only have the salad at lunch, that’s not enough and feels horrible.
