You'll need to cut the wine I would think.
I wouldn't have creal and toast in a day ,I'd have one or the other. I have to say I'd be absolutely starving on what you're eating.

Coyoacan · 21/02/2024 15:19

Where's the protein? Your diet should be mostly based on protein and vegetables

Sususudio · 21/02/2024 15:24

Where are the veggies? Beans, yoghurt and the cereal will all be full of sugar, as will the wine. I wouldn;t be able to lose anything on that.

AuntieMarys · 21/02/2024 15:27

You need protein and veg! Where's the eggs, chicken, fish?

FortofPud · 21/02/2024 15:28

What about a smallish jacket potato with whatever topping (cheese and beans, tuna etc) and some salad on the side.

Grilled chicken breast, plus new potatoes and veggies.

MorrisZapp · 21/02/2024 15:29

Protein schmotein. Cutting calories will result in weight loss. Anyone remember the F Plan?

Rosesanddaisies1 · 21/02/2024 15:39

You need to cut the wine, and focus on vegetables. Have a salad with your soup. If you want beans on toast, have wholemeal or sourdough toast.

Happierwithouthim · 21/02/2024 15:41

Do you have 1st to lose? People are giving advice here, but no one knows if the op is actually overweight in the first place.

IF you are overweight, I agree with all of the posts thus far.

Aribaariba · 21/02/2024 15:43

I'm in agreement with the other posters on here, there's very little of any nutritional value in your list and it's certainly not 'balanced', if you need guidance why not consider joining something like WW or Slimming World, I'm following a plan which is super healthy and I've lost nearly a stone and a half in just over 5 weeks.

Sususudio · 21/02/2024 15:51

Regardless of weight, that diet is terrible for health. No protein or veggies at all. Mostly carbs and sugar. Both are fine in their place, but not if they make up your entire diet.

AmaryllisChorus · 21/02/2024 16:05

I agree it isn't very balanced. If you like plain food and you're not veggie, why not go down the meat and two veg route with a carb on the side?

I'd do grilled, roasted or steamed chicken, turkey, pork with fat removed, salmon, white fish like haddock, cod, hake and have two portions of veg from a choice of carrots, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, cabbage, chard, cauliflower, romanesco, green beans, runner beans, mange tout, sugar snaps and smaller portions of sweeter veg like peas, sweetcorn, sweet potato.

Add baked or boiled potatoes, which you can mash with a splash of milk, plain boiled rice - brown if you like it.

I'd go for melon or strawberries for pudding over a sweetened yoghurt, and wholemeal bread over white (Warburtons do a sugar free brown sliced bread. It's only 50 calories a slice so great for making low calorie sandwiches or for morning toast. It's really nice.

If you have protein in your breakfast, you will be less hungry during the day. All those carbs will make your blood sugar rise and then fall drastically.

Happierwithouthim · 21/02/2024 21:22

@Windmill34 I'm also 5'2" and am almost 12st but when I was 15st I was wearing a size 14.

It's possible you've got 1st to lose, your shape could be changing though also

You've got some great advice here I hope it helps. Do you exercise? Drink water?
