If you were me and this is your list which would you choose ? I have tried slimming world, Dukan, Dr Mosleys fasting and WW and really don't want to try them again. If just deciding between cc and keto..

CC benefits:

Flexibility
No food off limit
Can calorie zigzag
Teaches portion control

CC cons:

Measuring and weighing a faff or impractical at times
Might trigger old ED (bulimia and binge 20 years ago)
I still have to be intentional and make good food choices for health

Keto benefits:

Clearer skin
Mental clarity
Stable mood and blood sugar
Reduces diabetes risk
Teeth and gums improve so much
Appetite reduction naturally, whoch solves food obsession
Flat stomach quickly
Simple rules
Generally don't need to CC

Keto cons:

Boring and repetiti
Anti social at times
Restrictive
I have no gull bladder so concerned about extra fat straining my liver
Constipation
Body odour? I hear of keto breath and meat crotch?!
Worried about lack of fibre/cancer as I know i just wont eat enough broccoli and cabbage
I might still have to record and log food too if it stalls
long term weight loss not necessarily faster than cc
Harder than CC to get back to if i break the diet
Not sure I can be forever on it 100% of the time
I don't like red meat
Is it bad for certain cancers and heart health? They still say low fat high fibre is best for health and others say unsat fat and othera say all natural fat is ok.

Keto is too boring and restrictive for me. CC is way more flexible and less of a faff

Your keto list was huge which proves my point 😂

Some fat is fine in a macro aspect! We all need to eat fats in our diet just not trans fats or if we have high cholesterol. Low fat is now a bit outdated. Many diets are protein heavy now as they are good for muscles and satiety
