My weight has been creeping up the last few weeks, it’s like I tried really hard in the run up to Christmas and rewarded myself by relaxing completely in January 🙄🙄

So, 11st3lbs today, goal of 10st10 by 1st April, which takes me back into a healthy BMI. I just need a bit of focus and the mumsnet voice in my head to boost the ‘don’t eat that’ message 😄

I’m a similar boat. Weight creeped on run up to Xmas and after. I started 2 weeks ago. Start weight 9 stone 4. Goal weight 8 stone 5. Not weighed myself so far but clothes already feeling better. Sticking to around 1200 cals high protein !

Hello @Rockaroundthexmastree, how have the last few days been? I haven’t had the best week so no change on the scales, but at least that’s an improvement on the slow steady rise I had been seeing!
Aiming for a better week this week…

Can I join? I am 3 weeks in but could use the checking in. I've lost 7 pounds so far but should lose another stone to be healthy and if I could do that by 1 April that would be great.

I'm doing 1500 calories per day and trying to balance protein carbs and fats in meals (maybe slightly more protein).

I am craving everything.

I have just weighed myself this morning and am now 9 stone 2. So 2lb weight loss. I can feel the difference in clothes already which I think must be reduced bloat more than anything as I’ve cut out bread almost completely.
my general food diary is:
Breakfast - Greek yogurt and choc flavoured protein powder whipped together (yum!)
lunch - poached eggs if home, or protein bar and fruit or chopped veg if at work. Protein yogurt for pudding or afternoon snack.
tea - Whatever we are having as a family but replacing any rice / pasta etc with veg or salad.
No evening biscuit raiding which I was in a habit of! Closing the kitchen after tea, brushing my teeth early and not having an evening cuppa has reduced temptation!

I’m in!! 7lbs ish to lose to take me to my goal weight of 8st 6 ish. For context i’m very short and have a petite build! Im hovering around 9 stone, with all of it sitting on my arse and thighs making me look like a little chunky pear.

I find 8 and a half stone makes clothes look better.

Since turning 44 I can’t lose any weight with my usual methods. Also too much chocolate and new job plus kids means very little time to exercise. Help!

Can I join? My weight has crept up over the past few months and it’s affecting my confidence massively - I’d love to lose a stone by summer but I’ll take any loss at all at this rate 😂

Rockaroundthexmastree · 01/03/2024 07:01

How are we all doing? I have just weighed myself and I am 8 stone 13! Started at 9 stone 4 just under a month ago. Whoop 🙌

Lemonademoney · 02/03/2024 19:02

Haven’t lost anything! Despite swapping sandwiches for soups and more walking. I think I need to step up the exercise!

Can I join? I'm just under 11 stone today and I was 10 stone 18 months ago. It's just creeping up on me.
I'm on my feet all day at work so can't cope with hard-core dieting but I'm thinking if just I have eggs for breakfast, a healthy lunch and fill up on veg at dinner that would make a difference.
I'm in the bad habit of popping out for scones or chocolate on my breaks at work and having snacks in the evening. I'm permanently hungry so I think I need to retrain my body to set mealtimes.
I'd like to be 5 lbs down by April 1st.
