Does anyone know anywhere Saxenda is available? It was making such a difference and now I can't get it anywhere.

I think it is a long shot, have you tried Manual? (it's a monthly subscription based service through rather then sell you one pen for £51.00 like the good old days where you could stay on the lowest dose)

Whilst I've been on weekly Trulicity which has been a few months now I've known of them to have stock of Sax.

I've always had it in my mind Spring 2024 Saxenda would be back but the maker Nova Nordisk have a much more expensive pen to now flog so I'm losing faith.

Sadly the pen journey is coming to an end for me due to lack of stock which is why I wouldn't really hold out for manual having much sax left, but I was offered wegovy for the first month at a reduced price.

I had been prescribed liraglutide for diabetes since 2017. In mid September my local chemist could not get hold of the three pens that I needed for the following 28 days.
None of the other chemists were able to get it from their suppliers either. So since my last pen was used up in October I, and all the other diabetics who live in South Wales have been unable to get hold of it, and are having to count each gram of carbohydrate before eating a meal, and inject insulin, which is notoriously difficult to do, and causes weight gain.
There are going to be a lot of foot amputations happening in the coming years that could have been avoided if diabetics had not been deprived of liraglutide by a world wide shortage caused by people using it for weight loss.

Since I stopped being able to get hold of Saxenda in July (I am diabetic but bought privately because my GP wont prescribe it), my blood sugars have worsened and I've put on a stone.

That's on metformin which really doesn't agree with me.

So I thought I'd have another look at Saxenda, see if there is stock nowadays.

And the answer is yes - but at double the price (Online Clinic). And very limited: the sites are pushing customers to Wegovy instead, which seems to be priced the same for a four week supply whether you stick to a low dose or not. Such a con!

I can't bring myself to add to their profit-making.
