Will I have to leave slimming world

I’ve been going to slimming world for a year and lost a stone and a half. I have another three stone to lose and have just done my first wegovy injection. Do I mention this to my slimming world consultant and will she tell me I can’t do both. I intend to keep to the basic principles of slimming world within a calorie deficit. What have other peoples’ experiences been please of doing both and what did their sw consultants say.

It's none of her business.

@FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee i agree but is there something in the rules that says you can’t do both.

Well if you don't tell her, how would she know?

Eightfour · 28/01/2024 18:58

You would be better off getting advice from the doctor administering the injection than from a completely unqualified SW representative.

I wouldn’t say anything. I’ve lost a proportion of my weight from intermittent fasting. I’ve not mentioned it at all.
Good luck!

Upallnightsndallday · 28/01/2024 21:50

I wouldn’t say anything they might not be happy as you’ll win slimmer of the week every week!

Eightfour · 28/01/2024 22:29

Why would they be upset, if the goal is for you to lose weight why would using different methods in combination upset them?

YouveGotAFastCar · 28/01/2024 22:33

I don’t think I’d tell them. But I also wouldn’t keep going to the classes. It doesn’t seem fair on the other people, who may be demotivated by you losing much faster than them and not know why. Of course they should stay in their own lane and focus on themselves, but there is psychology involved in the public weighs and the competition etc, which is why SW do it…

If you want to go for moral support, I’d decline weigh ins.

There was a woman in mine who had a gastric band she just wasnt allowd to win slimmer or the week etc
