I've lost 2 stone!

Only posting here as don't have anyone to share with in real life (except husband) as I've deliberately not told anyone I'm trying to lose weight. Still a stone or so to go, but I'm really pleased. And it's helped me seeing other people's wins along the way!

I've done it by missing breakfast and reducing carbs at other meals, not calorie counting as such but of course must be a consequence. I'm now trying to minimise UPFs as much as possible, so do have butter, cream etc. Walking a bit, but not that much exercise really!

Fabulous well done.

what kind of meals have you been eating?

ModeWeasel · 11/01/2024 12:36

Amazing! Well done.

DRS1970 · 11/01/2024 12:44

Envious! The only way I could lose two stone would be an accident requiring me to have my legs amputated.

Fabulous well done.

Generally just 'normal' meals like Bolognese but no spaghetti etc. I do have it sometimes but usually avoid it. Still have cheese etc ..

For lunch I do eat a lot of salad, but also nuts, cheese etc.

Fwiw it's taken a while, started in Aug last year so not a quick process!!

Amazing well done!

Coruisk · 11/01/2024 12:56

Thanks everyone. Also wanted to say daily weighing has really helped me (appreciate not for everyone) and also I didn't lose a lot at the start, so don't be disheartened if you're starting out now .

I feel lighter walking etc, not sure I have loads more energy (sadly) but glad of the health benefits I probably can't see or feel!

Thanks that's really kind! I don't feel it at all, I felt I'd never lose weight tbh and I'm still worried about keeping it off. I really appreciate the congrats from everyone- just wanted to post to show you can do it fairly slowly and the main thing is to keep going, even if you have cake and wine one day - get back on and it'll be fine!
