Anyone doing Slimpod?

Anyone doing Slimpod and want to chat?

I started before Christmas, and am currently on Week 9.

Pre-Christmas it was starting to go well, clothes were feeling a bit looser (I resisted the urge to weigh). Lapsed a bit with listening to the pods over Christmas itself but still think I made some better food and portion choices than I would have before starting.

I did it for a few months, and found it worked, but I fell off the wagon because I just couldn't get through the monotonous videos and found the emails irritating - they broke the spell! I'm going to try again, as the pods were very good, but ime they should break down the key takeaways from the videos and use it as content in the emails, instead of the trite 'live, laugh, live' sound bites.

I'm still making slightly better choices though (eg, afternoon oatcakes instead of chocolate)

There’s no wagon to fall off. Just go back to healthy eating.
The videos aren’t massively inspiring in their production (though they have interesting science) but I do find ‘I can’t deal with them they’re boring’ an odd thing. It’s about 5-10 mins a video 4 times a week. Isn’t that less boring than counting every calorie? The emails are one a day and you could easily just delete.

MadameMassiveSalad · 26/06/2024 18:48

The emails are annoying
I'm persevering on phase 2 here

MadameMassiveSalad · 26/06/2024 18:48

Finding it best to just listen to the videos. They could be better produced

I keep seeing it on my Facebook feed, so came on here to see if I could find a thread about it and have really enjoyed reading these comments…seems to be mostly in favour. I’m very tempted to sign up. I’m struggling so much with losing any weight and it’s making me so unhappy 😔 I really feel at the point I’m willing to try anything!

Theres nothing to lose really is there? I'm on day three and it's really strange but I am having cravings for salad!! 😘

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 27/06/2024 08:38

@Mich57 well yes, that’s my thoughts…nothing to lose except about 4 stone 🙈😂 thank you so much.

I realise whilst maybe not an eating disorder, I do have very disordered eating, and I’m getting heavier each year.
I’m going to sign up today.

Ditto for all your reasons!! I have about 4 stone and have dieted on and off for 30 years! Always successful in the first 4-6 months and then steadily back on 🫣 menopause and it's all full on....my little Buddha belly has now spread and I feel URGGHHH. Time to put my subconscious in charge!!

Good luck and go for it!! Xx

I find it helps get your mind in the zone.

It's not about calorie counting it's just about being healthy and positive and making the right choices.

I'd love to check in here with anyone else trying it.

I'm perimenopausal with 3st to lose. It's crept on over the last decade.
I hate diets!

Just popped on MN to do a search for Slimpod and found this thread
I’m about 4-5 weeks in. I started because I’d been feeling bloated and sluggish (peri) and my clothes had been feeling uncomfortable.
Even after just a month or so, I’m definitely feeling more comfortable in my own skin, clothes feel less tight and the bloating has gone. Unconsciously, I’m making better food choices and I’m snacking far less, especially at night times! I’m finding I’m actually hungry when I come to eat (not like a bothersome hunger that prevails, it’s just that I’m responding better to hunger cues I think)
Interestingly, I’m also moving more (my step count for July was significantly higher than for June)

Offleyhoo · 04/08/2024 01:08

@WorriedMillie That is great!! Keep going, it's been an absolute game changer for me.

OneBrickLurker · 06/12/2024 03:25

Just found this thread, and I'm hoping it can be reawakened, as I am on Day 6, and as keen as mustard! If you are one of the previous posters here, we'd love to know how you're doing. Is Slimpod living up to its promises, in your eyes? Please tell us!
I feel like SP is The Truth and I know I'm sticking with it. I just love how it makes me feel. This is the right way to do it. No more dieting for me.

cardibach · 06/12/2024 20:53

I’m on the mother of all plateaus, weight wise, but I still swear by Slimpod. I’m exercising more and eating better all without requiring any will power - it’s just what I want to do. I’m getting close to a year in and I’ve dropped a size and look like it’s more. I lose weight very slowly but I’m ok with that on Slimpod. I’m now much more interested in fitness and strength than weight or size.

OneBrickLurker · 07/12/2024 06:59

Thanks for replying. You've confirmed a lot of the good points of Slimpod, and you're happy with your results, slow though they may be. Good for you! It's so easy, it can be forgiven for being a bit slow sometimes 🤗I feel encouraged!

CattingAbout · 09/12/2024 22:57

Hi - I feel like I should come and give my update seeing as this was my thread in the first place 😂

So I didn't really lose any significant amount of weight doing Slimpod. I only had (have) about 1.5 stone to lose, not sure if it works better if you are trying to lose more than that? But I still think it is a good plan, just didn't click for me. I don't regret buying the three months' worth - I didn't pay for any extra months after that ended although I carried on listening to the pods.

What it did do was help me make better, more nutritious food choices and eat much less rubbish. That's still the case now. And listening to the pods at bed time every night gave me fantastic sleep! I still go back to them periodically.

BUT I was very half-arsed with the goal mapping and kept forgetting to write down my wins - entirely my fault. Couldn't get into it. So all things considered I didn't exactly do Slimpod properly.

Also I never did manage to recognise my full signal (or whatever they call it) so portion control continues to be an issue for me even though I am eating more nutritious food. I did buy the alcohol pod as I like wine a bit too much, but didn't find it helped.

Wishing everyone success on their Slimpod journey 😊
