What did you eat today and what diet are you doing?

Just out of interest, I'm currently fasting 16:8 and wonder if I'm on the right plan for Me!

Previously had a very successful stint on Slimming world, 3 stone lost in 9 months but half of that is back on now after indulging a little too much last Year!

My eating window is 12-8 daily, but on average I've been having my last meal of the day around 5pm. I'm not weighing myself just going by clothes and photos! (Sounds silly maybe but I became obsessive weighing on SW)

I've managed to lose roughly 1lb / 1.5lb a Week for 3 months now - but had a break over Xmas.

Todays food diary:

2x White Coffees
2x Tea
1 x Can Fanta
1x Ltr Water

Lunch - small pack of salted pretzels and an apple plus half a chicken breast.

Dinner - Jacket Potato with butter, beans and cheese. Medium bowl of grapes, 4x Cherry Tomatoes, cucumber and a Malteser mint chocolate reindeer (snack size!)

Yes it wasn't the healthiest, not enough protein or greens etc. etc... but life is busy and this is all I had time for today.

Breakfast - full fat Greek yoghurt, blueberries, flaked almonds.

Lunch - 2 slices homemade wholemeal soda bread, half an avocado mashed on top, tomatoes, basil, olive oil.

Dinner - wholemeal spaghetti, homemade sauce with tomatoes, leeks, peppers, onions and prawns. Bit of cheese on top.

Drinks - water, fizzy water, tea and coffee with milk.

No snacks today - didn't feel the need - most unusual for me!

No set diet plan, just cutting out the crap. Going for non UPF whole foods and no sugar wherever possible. Weight loss would be nice, but getting health and wellbeing sorted is my main priority right now. Although, interestingly, just looked up the calories for today's food and I'm in a deficit. Don't expect it to go that way every day though and that's fine. As long as I enjoy my food and feel better.

Dinner

  • 3 chicken thighs (skinless/boneless)
  • 1 potato divided into 8 roast potatoes
  • Broccoli
  • brussel sprouts
  • gravy
  • bread sauce

Snack

  • a strawberry biscuit

Drinks

  • 1.5L water
  • 1L Pepsi max

I've only been back dieting for 5 days but I've been eating one large meal a day and fasting for 22-23 hours each day, keeping my calories under 1500, so far so good :)
