Do you plan a weekly menu

I used to do this religiously but I've lost my mojo a bit (therefore gained weight 😡) so I want to get back into the habit again. I'd love to see anyone's meal plans in the hope that it'll kick my arse into gear again!

I try and plan out dinners at least. I don’t really eat breakfast, lunch might be leftovers from dinner or salad/soup/sandwiches/some kind of eggs etc. This week for dinners we have:

Fish stew with toast
Bolognese
Salmon and lemon orzo
Jacket potatoes with fillings and salad

That’s as far as I’ve got.

Yes, I do it so I know what to buy in my weekly shop. As part of NY resolutions, I'm also now planning out lunches so I'm less tempted to buy a crappy meal deal (trying to cut back on UPFs, so losing the meal deals is an excellent start!).

I can't remember what I've got planned for this week, but typical meals are:
Stroganoff
Chicken tray bake
Spag Bol
Mexican wraps
Sausages (maybe toad in hole, or mash, or a suasage casserole to up the veg)

I've decided to try and maintain a lunches and dinners spreadsheet to take off some of the mental load - will be a lot easier each week just going through the spreadsheet and picking 5-7 meals to buy for than the blank page which has previously faced me. I'm hoping it also means I cut back on freezer fallbacks like Kievs/breaded chicken or fish etc.

Oh I like the idea of a spreadsheet! I'm sick of having to think of things to make.
