Hi everyone
with the new year on the horizon I have been thinking again about losing weight.
I am probably my heaviest I have ever been, although I refuse to weigh myself!
Since having my gallbladder removed just over 7 years ago I haven’t been able to lose weight. I have tried slimming world/weight watchers where I will lose a few pounds for the first couple of weeks and then nothing after about week 4, I either changed nothing or changed things slightly as per advice from the consultant but I still wouldn’t lose anything. I have tried numerous diets which haven’t helped at all.
I contacted my GP surgery at the beginning of this year and they told me I would need to track my food and water intake as well as exercise on My Fitness Pal for 3 months, which I did. The app was really positive when I was entering food intake etc, telling me I would lose x amount by an x amount of time, then when it came to weigh myself at the end of the 3 months I had gained 3 pounds! The doctors haven’t helped me at all since.
Has anyone had similar experiences since having their gallbladder removed?
Any advice would be much appreciated
