I really need to lose some weight! SW (although not popular on MN) has always slotted into my life nicely and in the run up to Christmas I did the online version. I realise I need the accountability of a weekly weigh in though but my experience with clubs/groups in the past has always been AWFUL. They've always been a mirror image of the Fat Fighters sketch from Little Britain, all a bit embarrassing and strange!
So this time I'm planning on joining a new group and probably just popping in for the weigh in and then leaving before my losses/gains can be shared publicly. 
Just wondering if all groups are like this? Over the years I've been to about 6 or 7 in different places and never really found one that clicked. Have you had a good experience with a slimming group? One that helped you to get a handle on weight loss? Is there a secret to getting the most out of them?
