Due to a disability I'm unable to run. Same goes for dancing, aerobics etc. Can't afford gym membership at the moment. I need to lose ideally 2 stone but would be happy if I could just tone up my stomach area. I don't have a lot of floor space to work on.

Thanks.

It's losing weight that will be the best thing for your tum, so calorie deficit is the first step. I don't know your fitness level but I'd concentrate on yoga/pilates and weights or weight bearing exercise. Walking fast for an hour a day will also help. There are loads of fitness videos on YouTube. I like Caroline Girvan, Yoga with Adrienne, Juice and Toya. You can't "target", it doesn't work like that: exercise will tone you all over and calorie deficit will help you lose fat.

Sorry I just realised that walking may not be a possibility so I'd probably concentrate on weights and weight bearing exercise.

Thank you. I don't have much space at home and no weights. I was hoping for a link to some good exercise plans.

Can I suggest Team Body Project? They have an app with hundreds of workouts but they also have a lot of free workouts on YouTube.

All of their workouts are low impact and some are seated. They are also not dicks about exercise and you'll end each workout feeling fab!

I had some serious surgery/recovery a few years ago and these guys were my rehab afterwards as it was covid and I couldn't leave the house.

The very simple truth is that you need to lose Weight to see a smaller stomach. Your muscles are under the fat so even a lot of sit ups won’t help show a smaller belly in terms of weight loss. Once you lose weight you can try tone up the loose skin.

yoga/Pilates is very good for core strength. Have a look into core strength exercises. I have a good core now but you can’t actually see it as I still have excess fat
