I'm doing daily weigh ins, I find it more motivating. It might not be for everyone but if anyone would like to join in with posting every day your weight and loss, and how the day has gone - to stay in focus. Good luck!

Hello everyone! Glad to see you all doing so well. Some of you, incredibly so!

I've had one of the worst illnesses of my life, just a chest infection of some kind but it has messed me over so much and just won't go away. Still suffering, and it's been what, 6 or 7 weeks since it started! I've still weighed daily (exception last week on holiday... yes it was miserable) and I am maintaining. I have accepted this as honestly my every waking thought is about concentrating on breathing and not coughing my guts up. Dieting is not a priority!

Here's my March 🫣

Sorry to hear that @EatingTillIDie. I hope you are feeling better soon. Sensible to put the weight loss on the back burner for the moment and focus on healing. Have you been given an inhaler? It may help if it's developed into bronchitis- keep an eye on it in case it does. If you start feeling hot when it's not warm please get checked over asap. Healing hugs your way.

LadyDanburysHat · 25/03/2024 08:56

@EatingTillIDie sorry to hear you've been so unwell, and for so long. I hope you are better soon.

I am now 4 weeks in and pleased with how it is going. I have added BMI too as I think it is helpful for me. Close to no longer being obese which is a real positive, around 7lbs.

Well done @FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain that's a great difference in BMI!

I've just weighed myself and I'm down again this week so happy with that. Tried on a lot of my clothes last night and realised a lot of them are too big now which is helping me see the difference as in my head I'm still bigger.

I am keeping everything crossed for you @FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain. Your graph really shows how well you've done.
Everyone is doing great on here and it's so motivating. Especially weeks like this where I'm suddenly wanting to snack for the first time in months Resisting as I know my gallbladder won't thank me if I indulge too much but definitely had a few more biccies than I'd usually have had. @Smerk yes join us! Welcome!

@Menora and @FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain you have both done so amazingly well.

I am having a new mirena coil fitted in a couple of weeks and I am absolutely terrified that it is going to make me really hungry and gain weight. The first half of my gain came from having my mirena fitted 5 years ago, followed swiftly by Covid laziness and eating a lot of chocolate as there was little else joy at the time. So I am about 4.5 years of this weight now, and really need to see the back of it.

spackleplumb · 27/03/2024 09:23

My colleague just told me 1lb is equivalent to 3 apples. So I've lost the equivalent of 123 apples so far. When I looked at it like that and imagined carrying around 123 apples 24/7 on my body it does seem a lot! Smile Sharing that in here in case it's helpful to any of you to have that comparison too. Especially when we're trying to make sense of how we're doing. I still have several apple carts to go before I hit my target but I'm back to being happy with my loss so far Grin 🍎

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 27/03/2024 09:38

spackleplumb · 27/03/2024 09:41

@FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain carrying around 41 Guinea pigs everywhere sounds wild Grin

Menora · 27/03/2024 09:41

I’m up again the last few days but will wait and see what happens towards the end of the week. I’m not over eating significantly but I expect my deficit is not what it needs to be 😂

LadyDanburysHat · 27/03/2024 10:12

Love that list. I'm currently a gallon of paint. And although I can't really see or feel the loss yet, I know that it is doing my body a lot of good just to not be carrying that around

Menora · 27/03/2024 10:55

I have lost a bale of hay 😂
11 guinea pigs (or a gallon of paint) to go

LadyDanburysHat · 27/03/2024 11:13

A bale of hay sounds incredibly impressive. The weight does too, but when it's items you can picture it's so good.

Menora · 29/03/2024 11:49

Think I am hitting a bit of a plateau again I am just bouncing around the same weight for a while now. Need to work out what will tip it back again, this part of the last stretch is so hard. It’s tempting to just stick at a maintain for now but I am so close it’s annoying 😂

Ive been trying to consistently exercise which I am enjoying

I bought a size 12 bikini for my summer holiday - the top fits perfectly but the bottoms aren’t my best look as this time I didn’t go for the full above belly button pants, I think I should have though as these are what I think are ‘high leg’. I have some of the last bits of fat/skin around my bikini line which form a kind of ridge/fold above my thighs. Going to focus on abdo and glute work outs to tone up the next few weeks. 💪🏼

TeenLifeMum · 29/03/2024 12:44

Late to the party but can I please join you? I’m in the zone (although worried about Sunday eating out, alcohol and cake - it’s my birthday. Trying to master sensible decisions but it’ll be hard).

Haven't weighed myself today and not home at the moment but wanted to say welcome @TeenLifeMum Grin

TeenLifeMum · 30/03/2024 12:04

@spackleplumb totally failing this weekend. It’s my birthday and my mum has been ambulanced to A&E so I’ve eaten hot cross buns and planning to restart on Monday 🙈
