I'm doing daily weigh ins, I find it more motivating. It might not be for everyone but if anyone would like to join in with posting every day your weight and loss, and how the day has gone - to stay in focus. Good luck!

I have been keeping a spreadsheet of daily weights since January. It’s so interesting.

I have lost 3.5kg since 1st Jan. (but a total of 24kg since April 2023)

it’s very slow as I am only 7kg now from my goal weight which I predict will take me another 6 months in total.

So I tend to eat a little off plan on sundays - not wildly but just less strict than the rest of the week. I might have a small treat that day or more bread than I usually would, or a G&T.

Then Mon + Tues I always do 2 days of heavy work outs because this fits in my schedule. I do smaller workouts the rest of the week and another long one Sat/Sun

Every single Tuesday/Wednesday I have a small gain. This must be water weight

By the end of the week I then have a fairly decent drop in weight of about 0.5kg

I know I could do this quicker but this just about feels manageable in terms of hunger.

I have finally got below 11 st today. My size 14s are starting to look a bit baggy and I have ordered some nice size 12 clothes as motivation!!

Well done all!

8 weeks in and good losses

Im down 7lbs since 1st Jan

I still have 1st to go to my goal weight of 10st 10lbs. I’m 11st 12 now but I might stop at 11st if I am happy with it! Mainly my saddlebags need to get lost!

EatingTillIDie · 01/03/2024 16:39

@spackleplumb sorry for your loss 💔

I have been sick again this week with some random godawful virus cough. During covid I wanted to eat and eat, but this week I had no appetite whatsoever, had to force food down. Probably getting less than 1000 cals a day as I couldn't bear it. Normally sickness doesn't result in weight loss but this time it has, so I'll take it!

Tantalisingly close to being under 18st now.

Noticed my bra is loose as well 🤭

75.5kg
Slowly. So slow 😂
1lb this week which is pretty good going for me

spackleplumb · 04/03/2024 11:06

Thank you @EatingTillIDie

I haven't lost anything since last Monday so feeling a bit down about that. I seem to do this. Lose a bit then plateau for a couple of weeks then lose a bit more. Finding it hard to be ok with that but will keep going and hope to hit my goal by the end of the year. Determined to get to 10st-ish this year. I haven't seen that low a weight on my scales since I was about 22.

Menora · 05/03/2024 06:56

75.4kg / 11st 12.2

loss of 4lb in 4 weeks - for me this is normal now 😂

My mini goal is to get my BMI under 27 this month of March

GW: 10st 10

Im tracking how long this is taking me and it’s going to take me until July. That is slightly depressing but realistic now

Im not prepared to eat less

spackleplumb · 05/03/2024 08:21

Checked this morning as I felt curious- down 1lb so 38lbs down in total since my starting weight 4 months ago.

SW 16st 5lbs/ 230 lbs/ 103.9kg

CW 13st 10lbs/ 193lbs/ 87.5jg

GW 10st 2lbs/ 142lbs/ 64.4kg

Feeling more motivated than yesterday.
@Menora you are doing so well, sounds like you're losing healthily and you'll keep it off too.

Menora · 05/03/2024 09:08

@spackleplumb thanks, you are also doing amazing! That’s more than I lost in 4 months at similar weights I think!

I am nearly a year into this. It’s just become my life now 😂

my spreadsheet has me 4kg down exactly since 1st Jan so it’s just a trickle now but I have lost more inches off my waist but not off my hips! Those aren’t going anywhere by the looks of things! Not lost off my hips for months

this is where I started and where I am at

Hips 45inches 🟰39 inches
Waist 38 inches 🟰30 inches
Thigh 26inches🟰 22 inches
Bust 38 inches 🟰31 inches
Calf 17 inches 🟰 15 inches

So my bottom half is not very compliant with this programme 😂 and is very indicative of having lipoedema
don’t think I will see the inside of a size 10 😂

LadyDanburysHat · 05/03/2024 09:13

Hi All, I'd love to join. I have just started again to try and lose the weight that I gained with the Mirena coil.

I am trying fast 800, although not quite sticking to 800 cals. I know I won't be able to sustain this for more than a few weeks, but it is giving me a kick start.

I only started last Monday so have had a good first week. Enough to spur me on to keep going.

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 11/03/2024 06:32

Monday weigh in

SW - 1st Jan - 225 lb (16 st 1 lb - BMI 34.2)
WC 8th Jan - 220 lb
WC 15th Jan - 217 lb
WC 22nd Jan - 216 lb
WC 29th Jan - 213 lb
WC 5th Feb - 211 lb
WC 12th Feb - 210 lb
WC 19th Feb - 207 lb
WC 26th Feb - 212 lb
WC 4th Mar - 207 lb
WC 11th Mar - 205 lb (14 St 9 lb - BMI 31.2)

Total Loss - 20 lb (9% bodyweight)

spackleplumb · 11/03/2024 09:16

@FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain well done you are doing so well
@LadyDanburysHat how are you getting on?

I am down 1lb this week so a little disheartened it's not more but it's still a loss so trying to look at it that way.

SW 16st 5lbs/ 103.9kg
CW: 13st 9lbs/ 86.6kg
GW: 10st 2lbs/ 64.4kg

So that's a loss of 53lbs/ 24kg and a shift of 9.7 BMI points so far. Though still obese on BMI scale of course Hmm

LadyDanburysHat · 11/03/2024 10:33

I couldn't weigh over the weekend as I was away.

SW: 13st 5
CW: 13st 0
GW: 10st 0

Have gained a tiny amount over the weekend but not bad for lots of eating out.

spackleplumb · 11/03/2024 10:49

My maths is not mathing today! My heaviest was 244lbs 2 years ago but I got down to 230lbs and then gave up at the time. So my starting weight in October was 230lbs so a 38lbs loss since then. @LadyDanburysHat you are doing great. You and I have a similar goal weight so you're giving me motivation since you're already weighing less than me at the moment.

Menora · 12/03/2024 08:34

I had a gain after Mother’s Day so back to it. I have a bad back and bad knee so it’s not helpful I can’t exercise as much

LadyDanburysHat · 12/03/2024 11:16

Thanks @spackleplumb I have been trying to lose this weight for ages, but couldn't motivate myself to re start the diet until I booked a holiday in June. I hope to be 12st by then. That will be 1lb a week which is doable, if I lose more then great.

I am up again, but have horrendous stomach cramps. My official weigh in day is a Monday, so hoping to see an 11 in the lbs by then.

Menora · 13/03/2024 13:30

I am also still up again from the gain I had - I am just having to be more mindful of my calorie intake. Pretty annoyed at how little it took to derail me, I didn’t go that OTT!

CoatOfArms · 15/03/2024 11:05

Haven’t posted here for a while as last week I was in holiday with DD and wasn’t eating brilliantly. However, progress to report today.

SW (Oct 23) - 85.9kg
CW - 75.1kg.
target - 70kg

LadyDanburysHat · 15/03/2024 15:53

@Menora amazing how little it takes to go back on, considering the massive effort required to lose it.

SW 13st 5
CW 12st 11.5
GW 10st 0

Very happy to see that 11 today in the lbs. Next aim is to be 12st 7 in a few weeks. Hoping to be 12st 0 by my holiday at the beginning of June. After that I will focus on losing the rest.

Menora · 16/03/2024 11:13

@LadyDanburysHat yes I was so peeved with myself but I had a good chat with myself about it and it’s just a week so I am not going to let it bother me too much as that’s going to veer into disordered thinking.

I hadn’t even gone that OTT but all in all from week to week it only ended up being 0.5kg increase so not the end of the world, and I kept going with working out and my knee/back feels better

keep going everyone, you are doing well!

@CoatOfArms we are still weight twins 😂 I had got down to 75kg last Friday but after Mother’s Day last week I had a day out with my DC and then went up to 76kg, now I am back to 75.4kg
how tall are you? I am thinking to stop at 70kg but looking at my areas of fat left on my tummy and thighs am still unsure whether I will need to knock off a little more to get more of a flatter tummy
I have like an annoying pouch of low down fat right above my bikini line where I had a hysterectomy but I am not sure I can get rid of this

LadyDanburysHat · 18/03/2024 08:57

@Menora that is one thing I have learned is to let things go and just get back to it. No waiting until a new week or whatever, or thinking it's ruined and giving up entirely, I am also not denying myself any fun on occasions when I am out. Went to the cinema last week and had popcorn.

3 weeks in now and almost 9lbs down, I know it will slow soon, but happy to have had a good kick start.

Everyone is doing so well. It's always so encouraging reading this thread. I weighed myself this morning and have lost just 1lb again this week but it's still a loss so I'm happy. Gradually accepting its sometimes 3lbs and sometimes 0 so that's a step forward for me. I feel great overall and it's good to feel normal sized again after spending so long at 16st+ I hadn't realised that had become my normal and how skewed my idea of healthy had become. Feeling so much fitter already and excited to see the rest come off over the following months. It feels doable now.
