Hi all,
Looking to start but realise I have ordered 0.5 instrad of 0.25. Can I use the 0.25 dose with 0.5pen? (You can with ozempic). Anyone able to help?

Yes you can exactly like with ozempic

I'm going to order this from boots today. Stupid question but do you just eat as normal but not as much? Thank you Blush

Yes - count the clicks for 0.5 and then half it.

re what you should eat - I think it’s good to have a healthy eating plan. Lots of people find the 0.25 dose doesn’t do very much and Wegovy doesn’t make you avoid certain foods. The eating less is what comes naturally as you increase the dose. It helps a lot but I have found you have to try as well to get the best results.

Thank you very much, that sounds good.

Does it have a good shelf life, if I buy it now and start on January 1st will that be okay? It's in stock at the moment and I'd like to get it in.

Thank you

Yes - there is a long expiry date printed on the box. You have to keep it in the fridge before you start using it. Once you start you are supposed to use it within 6 weeks and can keep it at room temperature, although I think most of us just keep storing it in the fridge.

@wite it takes the edge off your appetite. So it means that if you do a healthy eating plan it’s easy to stick to. Not like before when my brain was screaming “you’re so hungry you need to inhale a box of flapjacks”

currently I’m in week 2 and one of the lucky ones who noticed a difference even this early on. This morning I started on a protein yoghurt but couldn’t finish it. Had half and then felt as full as if I’d just had a massive Xmas dinner!

I do find tho that on this low dose I only get that effect for 2-3 days after injecting and it’s worn off by the next dose. But when I go to 0.5mg I’m actually going to buy more needles and inject 0.25 twice a week instead of 0.5 once a week.

I was in the supermarket earlier and out of habit was looking at the Christmas biscuits. Then realised I just couldn’t face them as I was full. And then remembered I was eating healthy and walked away easily from that isle. My kids have Xmas chocolate in the fridge. Normally I’d keep picking at it. But I’m so full from my protein yoghurt I’m just not even tempted

Would you know how many clicks 0.25 is out 0.5 pen?

Would you happen to know how many it is? Worried I count up to 0.5 and then cant reduce it back down.

Hi 👋 I am looking into ordering weight loss injections from boots I.e wegovy I also take other medications like lithium, levythyroxine and aripriprazole - so may be rejected by the doctor from buying it. However I am overweight (had my third baby 8 months ago) and pre diabetic - I don't have much of an appetite when I wake up in the morning so I skip breakfast and sometimes lunch... I sometimes only eat one meal with snacks per day so can I ask how this injection/s would suppress my already suppressed appetite? One thing I do do is snack on all the wrong stuff, sugar is my poison... and crisps, bikkies ...chocolate!!

You can go backwards on the clicker. I haven’t had a 0.5 pen but I think with Wegovy the concentrations are different with the different doses so would work it out by counting rather than looking at Ozempic click charts. I have done this to halve the 1.7 dose.

Emanresu9 · 15/12/2023 05:50

@Lndnmummy you can count them yourself and then twist back to the start. Try it with just 2-3 clicks and twist back home to reassure yourself.

Lndnmummy · 15/12/2023 08:36

Thanks so much both for your responses. All done. For anyone else looking it is 19 clicks. Here we go!
