Wegovy started today!

Just started wegovy today. I'm 14st 8 currently, and miserable!
I've felt slightly nauseous today, but it has seemed to cut down all snacking. And I wasn't that bothered about my meals. Which is unlike me!

Anyone started today or starting this week, who wants someone to go through the same journey with!?

I did my first dose today. Not feeling hungry but expect that's just the placebo effect.

It wasn't a placebo for me. I responded to my first dose and stayed on the .25 for weeks with excellent appetite suppression. Hope it does the same for you.

Thats great news!
After the initial week 0.25 is doing nothing for me. I've done 3 weeks now at that dose. One more to go. I'm looking forward to the 0.5mg dose....I've ordered from boots but haven't got it yet.
I doubt I've list any weight over Christmas

It's going well 15 months later. My blood glucose is excellent. I lost 22 pounds very quickly but plateaued. I'm on a maintenance dose now as ozempic is impossible to get here in Australia. Once I run out of my stockpile I am hoping either ozempic is back in stock or mounjaro is back in stock and I will work on weightloss again.

I started on 0.25 last Wednesday and so far, so good. No cravings for chocolate which is a miracle.
My questions are: do you get the nausea and headaches after each dose or does the body adjust? I had nausea waves (enough to wake me up in the night feeling queasy) and what was probably a sugar detox headache but thankfully they have gone now on day 6. I’m just nervous that the second dose will bring them all back again.
my other question is when to order the next months supply, the 0.25 is working well for me so I’d like to wait to see if I really need to up dose to 0.5. I’m with Boots and the first prescription took a while to arrive but hopefully once you are in the system it is quicker?

I ordered my 0.5mg a week ago from boots, and still not heard anything. I really didn't want to run out!
I have 1 more dose of 0.25mg to use on Wednesday. So hoping it comes through in time. Although the website has a confusing message on about availability....

I am about to start - I am at 12st 7 and want to get to 10st as that will just take me out of overweight and into a “normal” BMI of 24.9.

I have my injection pen and having read what others have said about it wearing off a few days in I’m planning to start on a Wednesday so it doesn’t start to wear off over the weekend when my eating is always at its worst.

Any other tips should it be first thing in the morning or have others found a different time of day works best.

I started on 9th December, last 0.25 dose yesterday and I can tell it’s not working as well as it did. 8lbs lost so far which over Christmas is pretty good. 0.5 is waiting in the fridge for next week!

I’m also with boots for my prescription. I sent the request after I took the 2nd dose and they rejected it and asked me to redo it after the 3rd dose. I did so this Wednesday and yesterday I got a message that I can pick up my prescription. I will do my last 0.25 tomorrow and now have the 0.5 for the week after. I lost 2.9 kg so far and lost over Christmas week which is unheard of for me xx

I take it late at night so I can sleep through any side effects. My nausea has pretty much resolved completely but it took a year to do so.

1lb lost! Rubbish!

After the first amazing week, it's obviously been Christmas and new year.

Ugh.

Need to up the exercise.

I'm wondering if I could bring my second dose forward by a day?

I play around with when to dose. Ozempic builds up so changing your day doesn't have a huge effect. I'm trying to stretch my dose to every 10 days so should take it tonight but I'm going out for my father's birthday tomorrow so will take it after that.

I have lost all cravings, it's pretty strange. In face the thought of chocolate or sweets makes me nauseous.

I have done my first 0.5 mg yesterday morning. No side effects for me so far, but yesterday I was ravenous and had a lot of cravings 😔 A lot of chocolate was involved 😣 Today has been OK so far.

Hey all, I started 0.25 on Sunday. I'm really impressed so far. I'm a comfort/boredom eater and it seems to have stopped the nagging food thoughts. I'm doing low carb with it too, which I've found incredibly effective in the past, I just can't stick to it for long so hoping the Wegovy will help with that.

Did you move up to 0.5? How were the side effects? I’ve got one more 0.35 dose before increasing and and also nervous about the side effects returning.

Yes, I injected 0.5 on Wednesday. Didn't notice any side effects at all.

I am really trying at the moment, increased exercise, eating under 1200 calories.
I'm not sure if it's the jab or my motivation.... haha.

When I first took 0.25 I didn't want to eat at all.
Now I feel if there was a plate on front of me I could eat it!

How is everyone getting on? I have injected my 3rd 0.5mg dose yesterday and today has been the first day since I started when I really felt the side effects…nausea throughout the day, heartburn, constipation…it’s been tough. Hope it will settle in a few days!

Just did my 4th .25, i did it 10 days rather than a week after the last one as it's working so well. Did anyone stay on .25 for another 4 weeks? I've got a .5 pen waiting but wondering if I could inject half as it's going okay on .25

I'm having severe constipation on 0.5! Due to inject today, but going to delay for a few days. Until my bowels are back to normal!
