Has anyone done these?
Most are the standard 10 minute appointments with some general goals , advice which is common sense and a weigh in with in person appointments.
Around 6 sessions.

How did you access these? Is it a GP referral? 6 is better than nothing but I do wish the NHS would look at longer programmes of support.
I hope you find it helpful and report back.

I just got a text. Don't know if it was random or a referral.
I'm a few stone over weight but nothing major.
I was mortified at not realising how much weight I'd put on. So was fairly awkward the first session.
I've had all the appointments now. Half were telephone which as much as you don't get weighed so in theory could make out you've lost a pound or two when you haven't..
I also don't like chatting on the phone in these kind of appointments.
So I'd say it's probably better that they insist apart from one, the rest should all be in person. Best for honesty and more of a goal to keep the cutting down/ exercise going.
I wasn't impressed with the advise. And there is no follow up say in 6 months or a year.
So I'd just say it's more of a head start to trying to eat less exercise more.
For me medications have played a part with weight gain. Plus the usual sit down job for years.
I'd like to lose a stone but its very very hard.
