Anyone else eat as a form of control

Just been thinking about this recently while trying to understand why I over eat. I'm probably closer to a binge eater. I eat healthy home cooked meals and don't tend to have snacks/sweets in the house. Being able to choose and buy my own treats whenever I want them is a thing I am very reluctant to give up. It's a deep feeling of being able to make the choice, it's mine and I'm not going to share it.
Anyone else have those feelings? Or understand what I mean?

That's where something like Noom can help. It reframes your approach to treats / rewards so they aren't all food based.

I think I understand you as I’ve had the same thing with not eating. My life was upside-down at the time and it was the one thing I had total control over.
